A few new stories in the bank
At first there's ace191 with chapters 13&14 of Turnabout is Fair Play , unlike the twelve chapters that have been posted a few weeks ago, these two are all new. And there's even more where that came from, his colaborative story with Argonaut, The Supergirl of Smallville has been revamped and reposted in the bank as well.
Next is Rip Harden with a prequel to his Super Bitch story, going by the name of The Artful Dodger . I haven't found the time to read it yet, but knowing the sequel I know it's going to be good.
You'll need a bit time to read my own entry, since the seventh part of Michelle's Meteor Memento is the longest so far. Since I yearn for any feedback I can get, I'd like you to post it into this thread.

Thank you. Part 2 is 80-90% done. My plan is to have it finished in time to submit in September, once the workshop excitement has died down.

Sorry it's taken me a while to respond, I've only just got round to reading your story.
Very good work, the premise is certainly interesting (low level crook ends up as world's most powerful hero) and I'm really liking Magpie's personality. It was also interesting to read a fight seen featuring someone with very little combat skill, and I loved the idea of powers with an ethical side. I'm defiantly looking forward to reading the next part.
One small think I noticed, at the end you mention about Paragon having tuned from a white man into a black woman, but the picture at the start of the story shows a white girl and Magpie's colour is never mentioned in the story. Is this a mistake, or have I missed something?

I probably should have asked the artist to darken her skin tone a few shades. The character is supposed to be a light-skinned African American. It's a little more noticeable in the artwork of her in Paragon form. Maybe I will take that line out.

I really did like Flight of the Magpie. I like the fact that its protagonist isn't a purely good or purely bad character. I'm definitely interested in the idea of a somewhat reluctant superheroine who doesn't really object to helping people but who would rather help herself. She might in time develop into more of a paragon of virtue (pun intended), but it won't be fast even though she seems to have got on the wrong side of the bad guys.
Turnabout is one of my favourite stories of old, so I was happy to see more. It certainly went in a direction I wasn't expecting, though that's far from a bad thing. A few setbacks for Lois keep the story from getting stale for me.
I haven't yet read The Artful Dodger a second time, but I plan to comment on it when I do. I've got a 1,000 word story to finish first, though, so it probably won't be for a few days before I do.
