A few new stories in the bank

So after all the trouble with viruses, trojans and the page being off for days, we finally have a few new stories.

At first there's ace191 with chapters 13&14 of Turnabout is Fair Play , unlike the twelve chapters that have been posted a few weeks ago, these two are all new. And there's even more where that came from, his colaborative story with Argonaut, The Supergirl of Smallville has been revamped and reposted in the bank as well.

Next is Rip Harden with a prequel to his Super Bitch story, going by the name of The Artful Dodger . I haven't found the time to read it yet, but knowing the sequel I know it's going to be good.

You'll need a bit time to read my own entry, since the seventh part of Michelle's Meteor Memento is the longest so far. Since I yearn for any feedback I can get, I'd like you to post it into this thread.

It's not super new anymore, but it hasn't gotten any love from the forums, my story Flight of the Magpie: Part One is still showing on the ticker. Even if you're not interested in one of my stories, there is a nice illustration by John Becaro.

I liked the Magpie, are you planning to bring us the Flight of Magpie part Two when, G7?

Going ahead is the only one way to go to the future.

Thank you. Part 2 is 80-90% done. My plan is to have it finished in time to submit in September, once the workshop excitement has died down.

Thanks, mate, as always. Perhaps something more in a Part 2? Well, I've said that before. I haven't thought a lot about it at the moment so we'll see what comes up.
cheers

thank yu too Rip for your usua quick reply, i simly was still hoping for a continuation of the McAdams saga (maybe with their intentions to rule the country or the world order by force), or for a continuation of Connie wanting to go seriuos about what kid of "withdrawl" to do or some crazy teenager going bad with her superpowers wanting to test her invulnerability with thye most extreme stuff the army has...

while i know that before or after i dream to write a story myself (problem with language and story-construction), i have to say that i miss Conceptfan, Dru and especially happiest in Shadows stories (he still write but now only about dragon, giantess and fantasy-world but not superfem); i loved also the interactive-story too, why don't reactivate?

Sorry it's taken me a while to respond, I've only just got round to reading your story.

Very good work, the premise is certainly interesting (low level crook ends up as world's most powerful hero) and I'm really liking Magpie's personality. It was also interesting to read a fight seen featuring someone with very little combat skill, and I loved the idea of powers with an ethical side. I'm defiantly looking forward to reading the next part.

One small think I noticed, at the end you mention about Paragon having tuned from a white man into a black woman, but the picture at the start of the story shows a white girl and Magpie's colour is never mentioned in the story. Is this a mistake, or have I missed something?

I probably should have asked the artist to darken her skin tone a few shades. The character is supposed to be a light-skinned African American. It's a little more noticeable in the artwork of her in Paragon form. Maybe I will take that line out.

I also have taken a bit of time to get around to commenting on the stories recently, mostly due to finding myself looking for a new job so I haven't had as much time to read them as I'd like and I like to read each story at least twice before I comment.

I really did like Flight of the Magpie. I like the fact that its protagonist isn't a purely good or purely bad character. I'm definitely interested in the idea of a somewhat reluctant superheroine who doesn't really object to helping people but who would rather help herself. She might in time develop into more of a paragon of virtue (pun intended), but it won't be fast even though she seems to have got on the wrong side of the bad guys.

Turnabout is one of my favourite stories of old, so I was happy to see more. It certainly went in a direction I wasn't expecting, though that's far from a bad thing. A few setbacks for Lois keep the story from getting stale for me.

I haven't yet read The Artful Dodger a second time, but I plan to comment on it when I do. I've got a 1,000 word story to finish first, though, so it probably won't be for a few days before I do.
