No thread for this story? I never watched Scooby Doo as a kid, and now I feel like I get to experience it, but even better than it was!

Thanks to Argonaut for the great writing and including illustrations!

With this sequel, I do declare that this series needs to become A Super Woman Mania Halloween Event. Just my opinion.

oogber:

I didn't watch the cartoons as a youngster myself, but over the past few years I've seen some of the more recent full-length features and found some of them to be quite enjoyable. (I recommend Camp Scare and Abracadabra-Doo.) But yes -- a super-strong Daphne would make the series even better!

geekseven:

Thanks. Staff cutbacks at work, certification classes for a contemplated change of jobs, and various personal matters have kept me away from SWM for too long. It was Mrs. Argonaut who urged me to start writing again as a way to relax. She even told me to spring for an extra illustration for "Charter Fright." I can see I've got some catching up to do, but I intend to start adding to the threads and leaving feedback for the stories. As an "Uberposter of Distinction," I owe it to my fellow SWManiacs!

Hmmm ... anyone second the motion?

I second the motion that this be an annual series. As I commented on the story, I love the story and I would be glad to see another Super Daphne and the Scooby Gang story every Halloween. Thanks for writing it, and thanks to Mrs Argonaut for persuading you to write it.

Well, I do have another Scooby-Doo story plotted, and a year to get it written. But first I want to finish the long-delayed next chapter of "The Supergirl of Smallville," and try to get a Christmas story submitted before the holidays.

BTW -- I'm sure most readers are aware that "Charter Fright" is a take-off on the classic Twilight Zone episode "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet," starring Wiliam Shatner (or John Lithgow, for those who remember the TZ movie).

Yeah, I'm sure most of of got the reference. And I for one am glad that you both are considering making this a yearly Halloween thing AND are going to continue the Super Girl of Smallvill.

Quoted on both counts. And I'm really happy to see you again Argo.

Here was my favorite line, classic Scooby Doo.

"An empty fridge," wailed Shaggy. "Like, that's the scariest thing I've seen all day!"

Daphne makes a great Superlady. And the art by TGK was absolutely spot on. The whole time I was readying it I could hear Casey Kasem delivering those lines.

I definitely hope that this becomes a holiday tradition. Super Daphne is great.

Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for Christmas.
