One Author, Many Names

Hello everyone,

first of all I apologize for the lack of reseeding during the past couple of weeks, between working on my entry for the coming workshop and some RL issues, I really had no time.

Still, I'm working on some stories and I noticed a little problem. Some others used different aliases over the years. I don't want to investigate the hows and whys of this choice, but I was thinking that it might be better to unify their work under a single alias for sake on consistency.

What do you think?

I'd say leave them organized under the given byline unless specified by the author. They used different aliases for a reason I would imagine. I know I did! ;)

If you can contact them, ask them. In not, I say you group them together in sub categories. I mean like have one name be the main folder, and then have a link(s)/sub folder(s) to their other works under their different names. It might be slightly more work for you, but it would be nice.

I'd say unless you are able to contact them and get their permission to link together their various pen names, keep them completely separate. It seems only respectful, unless you know for sure that they didn't have some reason to write under different names.

The problem is that, unless I create a category shelf within the Library this kind of modifications won't be visible from the front end of the site. So this isn't a viable solution.

Oh, well it was just a suggestion. In that case though, yeah, I'm going to have to go with ask them and if you can't, keep them separated.
