Beware of Grouply! Phishing Scam was created by brantley
If you are a member of any Yahoo group and get an invitaton that seems to come from somebody you know to join Grouply.com -- DON'T. And notify the supposed sender. This is a phishing scam, aimed at getting hold of your e-mail account to send out spam.
Here's one case that just cropped up today:
From:
"Brantley Elkins" <xxxxxxx@yahoo.com>
Add sender to Contacts
To:
Aurora_Universe_Readers@yahoogroups.com
Cc:
yyyyyyy@yahoo.com
I was right. There's a phishing expedition on. Maybe if enough people here complain to Yahoo, they'll do something about it. I think I must have sent them a dozen complaints about the .info spammer program.
