Snowing here in Penarth/cardiff

Normely the snow misses us (or only get a bit) in Penarth just out side of Cardiff city. But tonight it's realy coming down. Looks set to snow all night. Could be a day off work. I know North & East England was hit bad.
What's it like every where else?

I'm in North Carolina for military training for a few months. This is normally not a place that gets any snow. Normally I live in a far northern state in the US. I have snow tires on my car for the winter and into mid March. We had 4" of snow here and just about everything shut down. Those 54" rims with tiny tires don't do so well in the snow. Coupled with a lack of plows, salt, and experienced drivers equals disaster. I took some fellow students out with me to a movie and made em turn white with some rear wheel drive antics.

Dublin, and outside the Pale is screwed
and pretty much all of Leinster is screwed too

we're not cut out for this weather at all
