Russia and Qatar?

Russia would be okay, I guess, but I was kind of hoping that England would win.

However, Qatar? Are you kidding me?! Why would you hold the world's most popular sporting event in a desert? Gee, do you think there will be any problems with, I don't know, THE HEAT?!

I know the Qatarans (?) say that they will use the latest technology to cool the fans and the players. Are they going to make all the stadiums indoors? How else do you keep out the heat?

I smell something extremely fishy going on here....

As for the other nation! name your price we have more cash than anybody else!

What stadiums? When they do build them - which I'm sure they will and will blow a ton of money on - what on earth are the going to do with all of them after in such a small country?!

A joint bid I would respect more. I just hope they pull it off and the sport is not negatively affected.

Maybe design another new ball – so we can have all the drama around that again too. Plus perhaps a system to cancel out whatever annoying noise maker is invented next – so I can hear the chanting.

For now - I'm most looking forward to the London Olympics and maybe Sochi after that.

No booze will be a huge turnoff for the visiting fans. Although there are places to drink there. 8)

Played during the summer? Then it will be a living hell there. That place is like 6 inches from the sun.

I feel the Qatar coup probably are going to happen during the winter, when the temperature is closer to acceptable
