Hello there,
I know I'm more kind of a lurker so its propably pretty much to ask, but I was wondering, since I am planning a similar project as writing.com-interactive-stories.

Many people seem not to like it, so I was asking myself if it was because you don't like interactive stories or if there was something I could do to give you a better service then they do.

It might be fun, but the product itself is blah. We have a different voice wanting to tell a different story every paragraph.

Same as Risatara, I 'm kind of a lurker too so I'm not sure my post is legit, but I support 100% of what the almighty Larafan said.
I feel that a lot of the Brawna.org contributors post stuff on writing.Com and subsequently most of the additions involve Female muscle growth (Which is nice don't get me wrong!).

But, it would be truly amazing to see more "SWM-flavored" stuff.

My main issue with writing.com (and this may not still be the case as I haven't added anything there for a long time) is that the creator of a story thread can delete the whole lot if he feels like it. Doesn't have to check with the people who've put a lot of time and work into writing it, it's all just gone...

Okay. So there is only one thing so far I really can work against, at least a bit, that is Spulos idea. I had the idea that every story-owner can choose a license for the story so that anybody could redistribute a story written under a free license and I thought that I would allow downloads in the epub-format.
Other things like the problem with open ended stuff aren't that easy, but I try to get onto the whole thing with another thought. Since writing.com tells the creator of a chapter to choose the decisions, what is the thing I didn't like (I thought there was a great idea for a new chapter but it didn't fit into any of the given decision-links) I think that the creator of the next chapter will give the decision-link.

Maybe there's scope for a feature that can be added to SWM. I hear fats loves adding new features!

Of course, we also have a forum, which is all you really need.

What I've seen on other discussion sites is a thread that is dedicated to a fictional space, or imaginary city. It's a cross between a discussion thread, an interactive story and role-playing.

At the very least, we could resurrect the interactive story forum category. The advantage to doing it here is the you have a better chance of keeping the focus on what you are interested in. The disadvantage is that there is a smaller pool of people.

I do love adding features my next new feature is to have a button for admins to electrocute badly behaving members, the other new feature is the ability for users to take control of the world for 5 mins at time, the admin version will grant admins 15 mins per go.

Mind you, if I controlled the world for 5 minutes, I'm not sure there would be much left at the end of it.

So, if you try to write some kind of interactive story and to try something else then writing.com, how about using taleing.com
You could be the first to create a real story there.

I’ve just added another chapter to the ‘Overpowered Celebrities’ story (it’s got quite a lot of supergirl action in it), does anyone else what to have a go at adding to the story?

Back in 2007 I wrote a few chapters for a ubergirl-themed storyline storyline in the BE Addventure that seemed to be started by Dr. Muttonchops. Every three chapters another girl would be given super powers which somehow exceeded the super girls that came before her. Needless to say that this story didn't last that long.

I tried to create another storyline about superpowered girls later , but had no other contributer. I tried to revive it a few month ago, but after posting a sequence of about 13 chapters only made by myself, I gave up.
