Paid cameo videos

A creative person might come up with a short script for their celebrity of choice. It might be limited to a length that that's viewable on screen without scrolling when the celebrity is recording the video.  It has to pass the sites "acceptable content" and can be refused by the celebrity.    Seems like a great work from home gig for a celebrity.

A friend of mine played a minor, quirky character on a cable drama, and he said he's made more money doing quirky in-character things for fans on Cameo than he did on the series.

Convention appearances are also huge money makers for actors and actresses. For well-organized or popular conventions, the plane flight and hotel are paid for at least. Plus all the money from autographs and photo ops.
