Next Stop PARIS/EINDHOVEN! was created by gooner
A big shout out to the boyz tonight for reaching the Champions League final. After a 1-0 win last week at home, the boyz went to Spain to play Villareal. The game ended 0-0, so off to Paris we go.

Conceptfan, will you be one of the lucky ones?

Come on you Gooners!

Got my 'plane tickets, Gooner. I've "applied for the right to buy match tickets" on-line. One way or another I'll be there!

Note to all barmen in Paris: Stock up for May 17th

"We will follow the Arsenal / Over land and sea..." as the song goes.

Oh, and one more thing:

YEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!

well done to the arsenal. Now all we need is the boro to make it to the uefa cup final and were laughing. Would be great if there were two teams contesting the european supercup later this year!

come on boro!

I'm going to be watching on Thursday, batteries, hoping Boro can do what Villareal couldn't and score at home.

An all-Premier League Super Cup match would be great.

Hear, hear! Fabulous late blitz by 'boro.

There's no other sport on Earth that can offer such passion and drama. Nothing comes even close!

(batteries, if you're going to Eindhoven, I hope your ticket hunt is less stressful than mine is proving to be)

Hey, batteries! How long is it going to take you to come back down to Earth after THAT??!

Eindhoven here i come! the ticket hunt is not a problem been a season ticket holder for some 20 years helps in situations like this. when i got my first season ticket there was only 686 of us so when you get to finals your garanteeed a ticket!!!

20 years, wow you must have seen some crap in that time! I can recall seeing Rocky Rocastle carve through a distinctly dodgy 'boro defence sometime in the late 80s. Bernie Slaven gifted us a goal trying to defend at a corner...

I've had my season ticket at Highbury for 17 years. But it still doesn't give me the AUTOMATIC RIGHT. (We have more season ticket holders than our UEFA allocation of tickets for the Stade de France, apparently. No wonder we're building a new stadium!! Doesn't help that the greedy UEFA bastards are going to stuff the place with corporate types..) So I only get the right to apply for the right... Find out on Tuesday if I'm going to have to remortage for a ticket off a tout or whether I get one face-value from the club.

P.S. Admin, can you please change the title of this thread to "Next Stop Paris/Eindhoven" Let's make this a Super Reds Euro love-in!!!

yup seen son serious crap in my time, were only allowed 9,200 tickets

we have some 26,000 season ticket holders the ground in Eindhoven holds 35,000 people if sevilla are geting the same allocation tha leaves 16,400 tickets for them buisness men who we all know will sit there for the first half an hour before saying with a blank look on there face "whos the ream in the red and what is this game called again foot-ball....Oooooh how novel its like a play in words because you play with your feet!"

since found out our prospects are much the seam as yours apply for the right to buy then your name goes in a hat the lucky 9,200 get a ticket which is a max price of £82 wilst the unlucky rest are left hopeing to find some dodgy toute who will be willing to do buisness at around 10 times that,

but hey you got to love these european finals been winding up the geordies, makems, man u fans, chelsea fans and anyone else who isn't in a major european final in the next 3 weeks!

Sorry, Batteries. I kinda hope you didn't get a ticket in the end. :(

(Can you say some of your players had dodgy stomachs and demand a replay? Of course not - that would be ridiculous... )

Let's hope the Pride of London can redress the Anglo-Spain balance next week.

batteries, you'll always be able to say you were there when Middlesborough FC played in the UEFA Cup Final. That's gotta be worth something.

Seville were good, but watching at home, I felt Boro edged the first 15 minutes of the second half. If they'd equalised then (especially from the penalty that wasn't and should've) who knows. Boro were right to push up and try and get a goal and got done by a team that countered brilliantly and seemed to have a little bit more energy at the end. The actual result was harsh.

I didn't get a ticket for the Stade de France. Should've gone on more away trips, but with a young family... Anyway, I got my flights, so I'm going to Paris for the Russel Harty [party] anyway. Maybe I'll get (super) lucky on the ticket front... I'll be off in just a tiny bit over 24 hours.

For those of you watching, THIS time, the good guys are in YELLOW and the bad guys are in RED and BLUE

If you're not going to watch, please send good vibes. Much appreciated.

Sorry about your loss guys.

I actually got to watch most of the game here in the States. I didn't see the red card though. From what I heard, it was kind of a questionable call. In your opinion, was it legit?

I can't believe Henry didn't put that one chance away to go up 2-0. With only 15-20 minutes left, that probably would have iced it.

I'm kind of worried about Gooner. I would have expected him to post here by now. I hope he's not lying dead drunk in a gutter somewhere...

Reporting in JD, thanks for your concern.

What can one say, the ladz did us proud. It just a shame things didn't go our way, but thats football! We love it all the same. Conceptfan, did you manage to get a ticket for the game? They where going for a fur few euro's.

Great news today, Thierry has signed on for another four years. And thats a big relief for us Gooners. And like they say "every cloud has a silver lining".

We'll bounce back from this defeat and I expect big things from the ladz next season.

So now it's time to turn our attention to the World Cup.

"COME ON ENGLAND"
