World Champs!
I know the "national media" hated both the teams in the Series because we knocked off their precious New York teams, but do we care?
Hell no!
For all time, we'll be known as the best team this year and no one can take it away from us!

I'm happy for you, jd -- now you know how I felt two years ago!
With the Red Sox going down the toilet back in August, I'm glad that the championship went to my second-favorite team -- namely, anyone who beats the Yankees!

Actually, I think being swept by the Red Sox in 2004 helped us in this WS. We knew what to expect and how to handle it whereas the Tigers didn't.
I attended the victory parade and rally yesterday in St. Louis. What a blast!

Seriously, congrats on the victory! Actually, I used to be a fairly loyal Cards fan growing up (Gary Templeton / George Hendrick days)....
On a similar note, you guys pullng in all sorts of awards and "hardware" these days:

Kinda ironic Detroit was #2. Survival of the fittest I guess!

I saw that. It looks like we need a superheroine to come to St. Louis and straighten out all the gangbanging going on.
Seriously, like every other city in the U.S., there are just some places you do not go after dark, if ever. However, I have a hard time believing that St. Louis is the "most dangerous" city in America.
