Scott at Sixeight Studios and the saga of 2 missing costumes

Warning to all about Scott @ Sixeight Studios.

It is well known that I love the Supergirl character and especially the costume. I had 2 costumes made for me by a reliable vendor. They looked awesome and I knew that eventually I could sell them or even possibly use them for my own modeling shoots (hey, I can dream). Well, at the time Scott was taking some great shots for the Steele sites and I asked him if he would be interested in checking my 2 costumes out. He could ‘try before you buy’ so to speak. Things flared up and settled out between Kelly and Scott while I shipped them. Here is the chronological order of what happened next:

14 Dec 2006: Costumes arrived, Scott said he was impressed (or to that effect).
17 Feb 07: Scott stated, ‘I think I’ll keep the glitter blue one, the black one is too small for a legal girl to wear’
22 Mar 07 After a few emails I quoted him the price.
? Apr 07 Was told by Scott to ‘Bear with me’
19 May 07 Was told that he had just moved into a new house with studio space.
2 June 07 Scott replied to another inquiry and said, ‘I doubt it’ll go out today but Monday for sure’. P.S. I have lots of paying photo gigs this month so I will wrap this all up.
12 June 07. This was the last response I received from Scott. Another delay or something like that was the gist of the email. Three emails have been sent since then with no response. Last email was sent 24 July 07.

I don’t know what to do at this point. Shame on me for being too trusting especially since this is the second and third costumes I have lost to people. My tone has been calm and deliberate. No name calling, harassment, or spam. My messages lately have simply asked for payment or return. I’m still hoping for the return of these two costumes but that hope is dwindling.

Update.

I was looking at the SixEight MySpace page and lo and behold both of my costumes have been used. The shiny lycra classic Supergirl and the Dark Supergirl. So it looks like the Dark one is not unusable.

Someone hand me a hanky.

I can't believe the guy basically stole your costumes and is brazen enough to post pictures of girls in them on his Myspace page.

What has happened to common decency in this world?

Replied by Sarge395 on topic Scott = Thief
Well, this is the end of it as far as I'm concerned. :x

Scott at 68 Studios is a thief. He received and used two of my costumes. They were sent to him in good faith that he would either purchase or return them. He told me in an email that he would be purchasing one and sending the other back within the next few days (not weeks or months). This never happened. Repeated attempts to politely ask for an update failed as well.

This has gone on since the middle of December in 2006! Enough is enough. I hope that his site he is setting up fails. It pains me to say that since I do enjoy his work that he has published in the past.

Scott doe not seem to view this forum but if he does I would love for him to reply here and deny anything I've said. He can't of course so he will most likely remain aloof as usual. I wonder how this would have played out had he done some camera work for someone without being paid? It will also be interesting to see how he treats subscribers who quit? Will their credit cards stop being charged?
