New Aurora Universe story

I'm renamed the Hard and Soft series to Mythos, and added two new parts to the story. Lots of action of the ubergirl kind and embedded illustrations.

The story presumes that the Velorians have been hiding on Earth for a very long time. During that time, they've assumed control of graphic novel publishing and a large swath of the movie industry, and are cranking out superhero-type movies as fast as they can to create a collective mythos about imaginary super-beings.

The idea is to use that fiction to prepare Earth for the day when the Velorians have to reveal themselves.

That day that fiction becomes reality has arrived... and now the humans can only hope they'll survive it!

Very nice set of stories Shadar. Solid characters and development hope it keeps going.

Just a shame Charlize has been micro waved to ~ death? Fantastic description of that scene even if it was a bit disturbing.

<Note to self> If it starts hurting don’t just hang around acting conceited waiting for your blood to vaporize inside you ~ get out of range/dodge.

Good point... Charlize was so convinced of her invulnerability that she just stood there and took it, even after it would have become apparent to anyone else that she was facing real danger.

While we humans are very aware of our frailty, at least when it comes to facing weapons or superfemales of the lethal variety, Velorian Protectors are raised from an early age to be confident and fearless. Charlize was too young and inexperienced to have learned that all humans, even superhumans like herself, aren't truly gods.

They might look like a goddess and often behave like one, but underneath all that superstrength and steely physique, their genetic foundation is as human as you and me.

She's gone, Random... Vels can regenerate from signfiicant injury, but not after their brains and most internal organs are turned to ash.

This is going to seriously freak out both the Velorian and Arion contingents on Earth. If the 'weapon' (they don't know that its Astrid yet) can kill an S-class Velorian, then nobody is safe.

Of course, a common fear can sometimes bring even enemies together. After they get done accusing each other of having the weaspon.

And of course, Misty knows exactly what is going on. And she's forming a temporary alliance with the Arions. But not to kill her sister. Just to find her. Her real agenda hasn't been revealed.

Part 5 starts off with a focus on her...

I've just posted part 5 of the Mythos saga. This one isn't for the faint-hearted.

Several people indicated they wanted to see more of Kara, and I've tried to do that. In fact, you'll see Kara (Laura) as you've never seen her before.

Part 5 isn't as long as the other parts, but I figured I'd post small segments every few days instead of waiting a week or two between posts.

I got the bump...I've got some ideas to continue this story and bring it to an exciting climax. Just have to get focused...
