Bionic Girl

Quick review:



1. No slo-motion

2. They do use the traditional sound effect.

3. The dialogue-to-action ratio is skewed heavily towards the dialogue.

4. Bionic Girl is amazingly hot.

5. The acting is very good.

6. It has a good quality of production

So you have a benchmark for what I'm about to write this is a disclaimer:

I'm not a big bionic fan, I've watched other bionic videoes and they didn't really appeal to me. I'm not keen on the slow motion stuff and actually seeing the bionics.

With that out of the way overall this is, for me, on par with their most recent superwoman film duo. Quick comparison as to why:

Superwoman duo was sexier, better chest (personal preference) and had a better action:story ratio (though I've noticed that the cost of the video is not based on length, this is good! stick with it or give more details when a video is posted, note: the preview images are good tools)

Bionic actress is amazing, best i've seen in a "super" movie like this, better super scenes and even played the whole silly girl routine (so in your mind this story could go more than one way and still appeal to you).

Downsides of Superwoman duo? More action scenes (good TL in part2 and invun but heat vision is fire vision and given the actress I was shocked to not find super breath when i first bought it)

Downsides of Bionic? Takes half the film to see the bionic girl (i had a flashback to beetlejuice at that point =/ if you don't get that ill explain below =p) as it spends the first half building the plot and giving a motive for the creation of the bionic girl.

Conclusions for Bionic.

1. Basically their best film to date and I'm pleased that they're improving *and* have listened to the comments on this forum.

2. The actress is awesome, please please please get her again.

3. She really is *that* awesome, book her now!

4. Final bit about her (promise! ) put her in another film as a normal woman, gets powers, goes bad, wins (similar to the development of the villianess in intoxication).

5. Action scenes are v.good, keep it up.

6. I personally think the first half dragged a little in setting up the plot. By all means try to balance plot vs action but you can't have that division at a single point. Mix the action and plot to break it down more or thin the plot out so you don't need to spend all that time establishing a 2 character relationship.

7. its 25minutes long, good deal particulary since i've been disappointed as late with newgoddess who've decided to, I think, split their time over 4 websites now and have ditched the feature length section and have been dumping those older ones into the main section as releases instead of new content. This is obviously because they're not trying to release content for 4 different (ish) sites but it got my goat a little that they moved that stuff. Oh and if you happen to be reading this I did notice that you re-released shadow but given how the subscription works on your site by paying the 1 time sub you can download the 2 year old shadow film anyway.

Sooo where was I?
Oh yes!

You like bionic? buy this
You like a super strong/fast/invun woman winning? buy this
You like super ditzy "like you know whatever!" girl? buy this

All of those elements are in there (though ill admit not fully done as obviously they need to make room for each other).

Avoid if you're looking for fully accurate bionic girl stuff (slow-mo in particular, though I *think* it has the same sound effect that i've heard on other bionic vids). Also you won't get any circuit stuff if you like that.

Almost forgot! That beetlejuice point I promised to explain =P the bionic girl here doesn't really turn up until halfway through. In the film Beetlejuice, the character Beetlejuice played by Michael Keaton is only in the film for the best part of 20 minutes (around 14-16 i think) and yet the film is named after his character. Hope that made sense!

Don't think I'll buy it anytime soon. It's weird that they would have so much dialogue, what do they think they're making some big dramatic Hollywood blockbuster?

I haven't seen it yet so I can't comment on the content. However, I did notice that the length is 25 minutes and they are still only charging $14.95 (If that isn't accurate, let me know). So at least on length/price ratio, it seems to be a good deal.

I'm not complaining about the dialogue becuase the film is 25 minutes long yet still costs 15 dollars. Usually on the other paysites (clips4sale.com) the cost is at least a dollar per minute. So as far as I'm concerned they can have an extra 10 minutes of dialogue if they want to as long as they keep the price down.

25 mins = 12 minutes of a normal vid, cause it is sooooo padded with dialog. I know there is a need to setup a 'plot' but 'My God'! It seems like the majority of the film was the two guys talking to each other. I find it funnily ironic that their conversation was the bulk of the movie but that wasn't in any preview pic! LOL The price per minute was a great value, but the price per superwoman wasn't really!

Ok, aside from the droning phone dialog, the girl -- like everyone has mentioned -- is fabulous! And looks stunning in her outfit!

Probably the best part was the throatlifts. Probably best executed (filmed) of any other sites including New-Goddess, ProjectSuperwoman, and the Steeles.
