Dyna the Damsel Dynamo! - new installment up

29 Sep 2005 05:44 #2838 by dcmatthews
This is the first opportunity I've had to announce an update to my site since I joined this forum, so here goes...

I've posted the latest "strip" in the story "Menace in Metal!" featuring Dyna the Damsel Dynamo at DCM Studios Online. It's only 3 panels, but it does (finally!) show Dyna beginning to lay da smackdown on BlackBox's giant robot!

And I'm not sure if Tetsuko qualifies as a "superheroine" or not, but as long as I'm here, might as well tell you that there's also a new page of Tetsuko #2, "Fight! Mighty Muscle Girl" posted as well. (Although Tetsuko herself doesn't appear on this page; it's reactions of the other characters to Tet-chan's "new" physique.)

Enjoy!

Hmm. I guess the fact that nobody's left a comment should be telling me something.

David,
I've been a long time fan of your work! I know you've been at it for awhile, but I think a lot of people haven't actually found your site yet, so I'm really glad you brought some of the promotion this direction. All of your girls are truly SuperWomen, exactly like this website prescribes, so you're in great company (if not limited to only 10-15 posters and 750 lurkers). The artwork, as always is amazing, very much past a lot of the artists inking comic book nowadays. The Tetsuko story is coming along wonderfully and I find myself being too impatient waiting for more installments. I like where Dyna is headed, especially with the oldschool-style layout and artwork... it'll just take more development to the story to get people hooked. Keep in mind everyone here is used to full stories or sagas and not weekly installments. But keep at it... I hope the SWM population starts catching on to the fantastic work you're putting out.
Cheers

My aplogies as I was tied up last week and just saw your post.....overall, I LOVE the Dyna Series and they way she is drawn. THe latest panels have a very newspapery feel to them, almost reminds me of old time film noir --- kinda the comic equivalent of Sin City the way its drawn with the grey colors. Loved it.

As for Tetsuko, quit being such a tease and get to the "good stuff" as we watch our lil transformed heroine beat the crap outta the bad guys!

Cannot wait to see more and thanks for posting here. Its a shy group out here, but hopefully others will echo their sentiments soon (ribpoke).....

I hope you've posted this link to some of the Transformation Yahoo E-groups and to the Xtreme Strength e-group too. I know it would go over very well with those folks.

For me: The art is great, the story is fun. :D Our stories' heroines' legs are a little buff for my taste  but you can’t please all the obnoxious complainers like me all the time. 8)

Hello,
I too apologize for not saying something about Dyna, my net has been down all weekend and I just got it up a few mins ago. Personally, Dyna is my FAV character of yours DC, being I like heroines with alter-egos and use magical based items. :) Though the huge muscles are a little too extreme for me, I really like this character and how you chose to give her a very interesting background and item to become Dyna -Belt of Athena, GREAT choice!- I also like the backgrounds used for this latest installment as they came out clear and worked well with the flying Dyna scene. I hope you can keep up more updates on her, you have one facinating superwoman on your hands here! :D

Great job!

Just curious....in your portfolio and travels, you ever drawn a non-muscular superfemale character? Just curious as would be curious to see as a paradox to Satin Steele, Starburst, Dyna, Tetsuko, etc.

I haven't been at this site in a couple weeks. I just started reading the stories from the last workshop. (school started, other stuff picked up, and now I'm sick w/ a cold).

I've always enjoyed Tetsuko & wished the story progressed quicker. The art is amazing, the dialogue is believable & entertaining, and I'm really looking forward to some thugs getting smacked around...

Thank you very much for continuing this strip (and the other ones, but for some reason Tetsuko is my favorite).
