New PSW Release: Mindy Marvel: Lost Souls

07 Jan 2020 18:13 #66290 by Random321
I'm happy to announce the first release from Project Super Woman (PSW) in 2020!  Mindy Marvel:  Lost Souls .  This is also the first full length video featuring Bella.  Bella and I have done photo sets, even a short video as a bonus in one of the sets, but we went a little epic on this one.  Lost Souls comes in at 16 minutes so it's a larger PSW production.  The effort that went into making this one and it's length made it very trailer worthy:

In classic Project SuperWoman style it's lighthearted but full of action from car lifts, electromagnetic field emitters, high
flying, bent metal, to superpower fights.  I hope everyone enjoys this one and thank-you as always for your support!

Very happy I purchased this one. It is my favorite Random video yet. Without giving anything away, this has plenty of girl-power and plenty of the effects Random is famous for around here. It also works in some suspense, and has a couple short little bits that really give some personality to the main character. I found myself rooting for her instead of just watching her. And if there is anyone lurking out there who likes some danger mixed in, this has a dash of that, too. The danger isn't over the top, but creates enough suspense that it left me wondering if she was going to prevail, or be taken off with the other homeless prisoners to set up a sequel. In sum, while the effects are great, they more fit in with the flow of a good story with a likable character, instead of being the focus, which I liked.

I think I remember from another post that Random said the weather is now a factor in filming, which is a bummer because there's a tease of a continuation of the story at the end. (Of course, although I prefer outdoor shots, I'd love an indoor production if it meant not having to wait as long).

Random, was the aerial footage from a drone, or stock footage? It really fit in well and gave the whole thing a very high-end feel.

Thank-you Scwank for the comments. I'm glad it struck the right balance and our efforts to up the quality also paid off.

Weather (and time) is certainly a factor but I have some ideas and hope to pick up the camera again in the next month.

I got a DJI Spark and got the drone footage myself. The first time some of my footage from the spark was used was actually in "Super Ashley Rescue" but I've been experimenting and learning since. The goal: use it to up the production quality for location intros, and have more flying/floating fights, but not make it a crux.

Thanks! The "squeeze" leading up to it is also a unique angle/clip to the trailer. The actual movie has a slightly different take in it.
