Exodus

Hi all

A year or so ago I published on SWM a story, "Exodus", which did receive enough comments for me to consider writing a second chapter. The approach I have in mind is more than a little dark – an obvious spoiler, but our protagonist is likely to bring back someone into her world to "extract" information before sending the advance party through. I'm finding it a difficult thing to write – although realistic in the concept of how I think these things would work if real, the result is likely to be a little bit more unpleasant than much of the fiction on this site - even if many of the usual tropes are observed. Anyway, before proceeding to write it, I wouldn't mind any feedback or suggestions on whether a much darker storyline would be well received.

Something along the lines of a Terminator / Terminatrix plot could be where a 'being' is sent back through a dimension / time portal to 'extract' the future, soon-to-be superpowered female human. (It may turn out the Tx is too late to prevent the super-açcelerated growth of the woman in the Earth lab, and all hell breaks loose).
Not much to go on there, but just a very rough idea.
 

I'm okay with dark themes, myself.

Perhaps on similar terms to the Terminator/ Terminatrix idea above, why not go for the story title 'Providence' rather than 'Exodus'?

I asked the readers of Kiraling about this and they both said they are okay with dark themes.
