Starr: A Power Girl Fan Film

It's interesting and I appreciate the work put into it with no budget and just for fun. The acting was not the best, but I can't slag on it too much since the effort was there and I'd rather encourage these kinds of fan films than discourage them.

Solidly made. As a student project, it would get high marks. But if there's any one thing that drives me batty on these fan films, it's the oh-so-slow credit crawl where the auteur gives himself every credit he can think of. And if your buddies don't want their real names on the thing, just don't list them. (Of course, it raises the question of why your buddies don't want their real names on the thing.)

Like a lot of Fan Films...and well films in general i wish i liked it more.

There was some good-i think the central performance was pretty good-she had a good aura of Power girl as someone trying to put moxy that isn't quite earned....but she did that mainly by talking to herself. This one to a certain extent didn't feel like it had a lot of plot, and one things i think fan films do best is when they have a good one. Or barring that a plot-yes there is one here but i felt very slow and a touch tedious. It takes over a minute for the first line of dialouge which in a youube video is death.

The special effects are good, and the cinemtography of the stuff they actually filmed is okay....but while i see why they used the stock footage, the overuse of it to establish stuff by the end did them no favors..A good use stckage footage is maybe a second mixed with something else-a voice over, quick dialouge-i donno.The editing felt very slack, which i think is something i didn't like. the one thing about Power girl i would think is...you get tight editing.
