Hank and Alex was created by Markiehoe
I am invoking Star Fleet regulation 121
Both Hank and Alex have been emotionally compromised and their inability to think clearly resulted in Camus breaching DEO security.
Both officers should be removed from duty and replaced by personnel who have no emotional attachment to The Winter Soldier...I mean Jeremiah.

I agree, they totally disregarded the obvious that the rescue was maybe a little "too easy."

Kara's reaction was bad enough. Everyone's reaction to Mon-el stating the blindingly obvious was horrible. You are right, if this is how they act, none of them should be in lead positions. OTH, Kirk shouldn't have been allowed to take McCoy and Spock with him like he constantly did ... but the show wouldn't have been Star Trek if he hadn't. (OTH, Star Trek was better written.)

Alex's over the top reaction to simple security protocols was ... more than annoying. I actually fast forwarded through her discussion with Kara as it was just too stupid for me to watch.

No agency like that would have given someone gone for 15 years with the enemy full access so quickly. Just wouldn't happen. If he'd been take captive for weeks, they still wouldn't have done it. He'd be under observation before granting access back. I know there was an emergency going on, but you can handle that w/o letting him run around the base unattended and giving him access.

The other blindingly obvious point is that this show DOESN'T have good writers. Or at the very least, they lack any form of experience in the real world, nor have they apparently tried to gain any by reading books, etc. Mostly they just don't care about details like that. They are far more focused on touchy/feeling interactions between characters that are shallow and inauthentic (mostly).

It's hard to waste time on a show written by the clueless, even if I keep trying, hoping to be surprised. I caught up with three episodes yesterday (and still have one more to go) and in the end, it wasn't agreeable. But my hopes die slowly, and are not completely dead yet.

There are so many good stories that could be written around these characters and actors. So, so many.

It's hard to disagree with anything Shadar posts. Spot on. When I was thinking of the next WS, I originally thought of having a "SG episode competition", if anything just to prove that even us amateurs could probably do a better job at writing a script than some of these bozo's.
