I would recommend NOT building a website right now. Build something on DeviantArt. If it is successful with a good amount of content that people like (i.e. watchers), then you can branch out to a full website.

In conjunction with Willow's advice (which is right about the amount of effort you should not spend on building a website before its time to do so);
And then later if you want to you can reverse so that the deviantart points ot the website or vice versa.
This way you are prepared.
- Reserve your name space, I.e. figure out your digital identity, and buy the domain
- Originally have the domain point to whatever web service you use (in willows example your deviantart.com page)
- Use the namespace for contact points (email, SIP dial etc)
And then later if you want to you can reverse so that the deviantart points ot the website or vice versa.
This way you are prepared.

One more very important detail: secure permission to post/share all the content you're interested in and always credit the artist directly!
It's very easy to forget and get copyright strikes or DMCAs.

Echoing Woodclaw’s sentiments, please ask the creator’s permission before posting their content. I’ve run across my own stuff posted in a couple of places without permission, and it’s a little irksome, though I’ve never complained. I was always credited in those instances, at least. If they had asked, I would have given permission.
