I've submitted the first of two new stories to the Little Krypton series, my first new post to this series in three years.
Both stories feature one of the El Family daughters, this one Nancy and the next one Lara. The stories in this series all rotate around the children of Kal El and Kara Zor El who in the late 21st century decided that continuing their species was more important than anything else. So they married and have so far had twelve children who they are raising as part of what they hope will be an enlarging colony of Kryptonians on Earth. Which given Nancy's mom is the former Supergirl, that's not such an amazing feat as it might sound like at first.
Jarod has been Nancy's best friend since 3rd grade, and they've kind of grown up together, albeit in very different worlds, but they have this sense about each other as if they could be Old Souls who have known each other before in an earlier time.
The story is an exploration about a young man sorting out his sexual identity and a Kryptonian girl trying to figure out how to live in a world with such famous parents and such incredible powers and such world-wide fascination with her family. A family that is everything you'd expect of Superman and Supergirl, while Jarod's family is on much shakier ground.
Anyway, this has been a labor of love for Kryptonians and their interactions with humans on our Earth... it's taken me three years of off and on again work to get it ready to publish.
I hope you enjoy my vision of Little Krypton through the eyes of the fourth child in the El family, and the son from a very large Sioux family living in Montana in the year 2098.
