How'd you feel about a submissive supergirl?

Here's a scenario, you're dating a girl, she's perfect for you, she's smart, good looking, good in bed, but also quite shy and submissive.

One day she touches a meteorite and becomes the sexiest and most powerful woman in the world. She starts using her powers to help people.

But at home, she's just uses her powers for petty things, sure, she could use the oven to cook, or she could use her heat vision, can't reach a high shelf? Just float upwards a few inches.

She's still extremely submissive despite her power. When having fun in bed, she holds herself back, just enough for you to dominate her, just enough for you to hold her down, sure, she could easily take the lead and dominate you, but she chooses not to, she remains submissive.

I personally find this somewhat interesting, the thought of her accidentally breaking you would linger on the back of my mind, but knowing she has full control of her strength would put my mind at ease.

It’s interesting but my question is does she physically change when using her powers and at home she tries to be in her normal form?

The whole Linda Lee/Danvers versus Supergirl history in the comics could easily be extended (there were no explicitly sexual situations in the comics) to explore that.

Linda usually came across as submissive in the comics, and she, like her cousin Clark Kent, was ignored and disrespected by most people given her meek and mild nature, her mousy wig and disguise, the way she avoided attention, acting frightened by most things and had a habit of disappearing when things got intense. Her body language and attitude and personality that came with that 'role' was a key part of her disguise.

But what was Linda really like with her boyfriends (in settings of interest)?

While it's a big stretch to imagine a Kryptonian girl in bed with a normal man who has no idea who they are, and who remains unaware afterward, the comics clearly suggested (tangentially at least) that it was possible.

I wrote a story for SWM called "Jimmy" that explored one approach to that issue, but there are many other takes possible. Including an extension of the Supergirl in the 2023 Flash movie. Could (or would) she ever try to blend in with ordinary folk in such a way that she could have normal intimate relationships while pretending to be human? That's undiscovered country ripe for a story.

Overall, I think its an intriguing theme...  the duality of being a superhuman who wants to live a full live while passing as human, at least part of the time. And be kicking down the foundations of crime and evildoers the rest of the time.

Because clearly we on SWM can go where no other mass media fiction goes.

Funnily enough Thalasia67 over on DeviantArt did something like this with his character Jill. Despite being ridiculously power (of the ‘lift the multiverse with one finger sort of level) Jill spends her first arc being manipulated and abused by her boyfriend who doesn’t like that she is so much stronger than him. Eventually Jill catches him cheating on her which finally shows what a scum bag he really is, and she dumps him.

It might be interesting to explore a shy supergirl dealing with fame who didn’t have a horrible controlling boyfriend, but it might be tricky to avoid becoming too much like abuse.

I have always liked the hidden supergirl whose significant other does not know she is super.  To me this opens up so many possibilities.

First, there are all the things that she accomplishes while he's at work.  Then his incredible rise in business since he met her.

What about a bad guy? A world conqueror - a New Alexander - who has no idea his rise to greatness is all the doings of his painfully shy girlfriend.

It is sort of the Bewitched or I Dream of Genie vibe.

The idea of a girl who’s both incredibly shy and strong enough to literally move mountains is an interesting one.
