Black Cat in Spider-Man 4?

I read at Superherohype.com that the Black Cat is going to be one of the two new villians in SM4. It's reported that actress Rachel Mcadams is the frontrunner. They also reported that actress Romola Garoi posted on a message that she read for a part in SM4.

I'm kind of mixed about this.

On the one hand, Black Cat is a good choice as the tempting bad girl who just happens to understand what Peter's life is really like; the stuff he can't talk to MJ about.

On the other hand, do we really need another strain in the Peter/MJ relationship after the douche-fest in SM3?

What am I saying? This is Spider-Man. He's supposed to be whipped, beaten, stomped on, ground under, and have everything he loves destroyed by his very touch. It's in his Marvel contract.

A female villain would be nice for a change, but isn't black cat "just human"?

I'm not a comic book reader but I'm fairly sure she's only a martial arts master / burglar.

The enhanced version would be nice

Personally I would prefer Anne Hathaway for the role if these where the only choices.
