Taylor swift to play supergirl

hi everyone,

if ever rumour about who going to play wonder woman in movie we have more superheroine films than we can count so take this one with pinch of salt i would luv 2 see a new supergirl film esp played by laura vandervoort
although there two singers i could name luv 2 see play supergirl taylor isnt one of them i guess she right age 2 play through anyway here the link to the rumour

I may sound jaded, but I highly doubt that a Supergirl movie will ever get made. I hope I'm proven wrong though...

I can put a bit more credence in this than just dismissing it off the cuff. The recent judgement in regards to the rights to Superman was uglier than if Solomon really had cut the baby in half. The judge intended to divide the rights in a way that both the estates and DC/WB would have to work together for some tome to come. While the Siegle and Schuster estates have the rights to the Superman name and some aspects of the character that were displayed in AC1, DC got the rights to the majority of the powers (including flight), and most of the related characters and lore, including full rights to Kara in all her incarnations. Given that WB tried to soft-sell Superman during the trial, going as far as calling him an irrelevant character, I can see them making a Supergirl film as a way of keeping the overall franchise alive while keeping Superman films on ice until they can acquire the full rights on the cheap from the estates.

Even if they were going to do a Supergirl movie, why would they pick a singer for the title role instead of an actress? This struck me as a very silly thread from the moment I saw the title.
