Scarlet Johanson Lucy was created by AJF
Hollywood Reporter reports today that Scarlet Johansons will wull star in a new superwomanlike action movie called Lucy that will will produced by Luc Bosson.
It's about a woman who is forced to become a drug mule for a drug lord. She either is forced to swallow them or carry them up you know whre in order to transprt them acoss borders. The end up mixing today in her body giving her various superhuman powers like telekineis and resistence to pain and injury.

It isn't. Being completly immune to pain means to be able to keep going when others can't, but also means that you won't know when your body i about to collapse. It's a very double edged power.

Luc Besson is best known here for the post-apocalyptic LE DERNIER COMBAT (1983), the original version of LA FEMME NIKITA (1990), which inspired a Hollywood remake and even a TV series; and comic book/sf extravaganaz THE FIFTH ELEMENT (1997). I loved Scarlett Johannson's brief turn as THE BLACK WIDOW in IRON MAN 2 -- it brought back the spirit of Emma Peel in THE AVENGERS. I hope LUCY gives her a chance to shine as the star.

P.S.: One black comedy element from the original NIKITA movie that was carried over into POINT OF NO RETURN (The Hollywood remake) was Victor the Cleaner, who is supposed to dispose of an inconvenient dead body but doesn't have enough acid to do the job, and ends up adding to the body count.

Luc Bensen can either be the worst thing on the planet for movies or one of the most exciting directors. Its not that you don't know which your getting its the things that hit high can flail-usually (but not always) when he aims for an idea of what the mass market wants.
Reading this synopsis. Not sure which. But if he films that synopsis it may be something. Its rare one sees these days such elaborate drug metaphors.

Probably... the opinion on IO9 is that every geek wants to know the ending (book or movie) to decide if its worth indulging in. Reviews must have spoilers.
Kind of a reversal from mainstream thinking, but I like it, given I share the same opinion.
But of course, I also like a cloudy day more than a sunny one, so I'm twisted. Gotta be to love the great Northwest.
