The trailer looks good, and as a fan of the anime I have to say I am really looking forward to it

Ofc, there are the usual comments of "Its not EXACTLY like the anime WAHHH!!" but I've long given up on those ppl. As long as its a well made film, I'm good tbh. If it sucks, then it sucks. Simple Can't really tell how good it will be from the trailer, so will have to wait and see on that But looking good so far (better then I thought it would be tbh).

My hope is that it'll still hold that same environment and feeling as the universe Ghost in the Shell has created, and won't just be another generic action film like Lucy. That said, the costume design looks pretty great, and I'm sure despite the people complaining about non-issues Scarlett Johansson will put just as much effort into the role as she would any other.

My expectations for this film are probably going to be unreasonably high, seeing as Stand Alone Complex is one of my favorite animes of all time, but as long as it has some decent action scenes and a coherent plotline I'll probably go see it as a popcorn film if nothing else. And who knows, maybe we'll see some extra-badass scenes of the Major doing things in the way only a superhuman cyborg can, seeing as this is apparently going to be an origin story for her and the rest of Section 9.

The formation of Section 9 explains why there's only Batou and Aramaki in the trailer. I'm still on the fence as to if I'm going to see it, I might just pass until it is out on video/Netflix. I really do like the anime, I guess I'll see what Rotten Tomatoes thinks.
