Way to go guys. This should do well simply by the energy and passion you've put forth so far. Adding Mandi is the big ole cherry on top.

Mandi as the cherry on top... Now there's an idea for a photoset!

I think everyone is going to LOVE this movie! In a way, it's taylor made for the people of these forums. Mandi's going to blow your minds with distance she's come since GIRL OF STEELE. I also think you're going to be equally as impressed with the supporting cast.

OK, I've been told a release date is set for June 1st (yes, 2005)! All principle photography (except for one minor scene) is completed, including all of Mandi's scenes. Post-production is now underway which includes scoring, editing, and all the FX, hence the 6/1/05 release date.

I'm working on the website right now (to replace that temp piece of #%^$@ up there now) and have all the pages done except one, so look for it later this week. Will include cast listing, the first production shots from the movie, clips (as they become available) and yes, the first glimpse of the "Lara" costume.....

More to follow.....

That is great! 1 June is closely coming up.

Bad news is that is my ship date for Iraq or Afghanistan for the next 545 days! It will take me a few extra months before I can finally get it. Good things come to ..... dammit I don't want to. :)

OK, so June 1st as come and gone, and, obviously, no Awakening. Don't fret good people, we're trucking along! There were some minor hiccups with some FX editting, and bully_pup, being the perfectionist that he is, wanted everything to be as smooth as possible. I'd like to make him sound altruistic and say it was solely for your enjoyment (which it partly is!) but it's also because, quite frankly, he doesn't want his name going on something that looks crap-tastic. But believe me, we're moving along at a good clip again, and the movie WILL be out (hopefully) before the end of the summer.

Oh yeah, for those of you wondering who this new guy is, and why he's talking as if he's part of the crew for the movie, let me shed some light: My name is CJ, and I was originally cast to be one of the soldiers in The Awakening. Since then, I've managed to dip my fingers in quite a few aspects of the filming, doing everything from holding the camera, to taking behind the scenes photos, helping bully_pup with FX, hell, I even got to play multiple roles (not that you could tell the difference...unless you look at the boots). Basically, I've managed to sneak and decieve my way into every aspect of this project, proving that if a fan tries hard enough, he CAN do something of substance in this genre. Oh yeah, I also got to be Mandi's personal "blame him" guy....anything that went wrong was blamed on me, but that's ok, because I turned around and blamed Mike (the director). It's all Kelly's fault in the end though.

Anyway, back to my point, if I had one....oh yeah...don't give up hope! The production has had it's starts and stops, but damned if we aren't going to finish it! We may all be old and gray, but Mandi will look stunning as ever, and I promise that you all will LOVE the finished product.

Oh yeah, and to add on to Lfan's list:

Number of extras killed by Mandi: 1749
Number of extras cast by Kelly: 7

The math doesn't add up, but it happened, somehow.

Sarge, sorry you're going to miss the premiere, but you're doing a right and noble thing. One soldier to another, Godspeed, and may you and yours stay safe out there.[/quote]
