A mysterious glowing green object hurtles towards Earth and lands in a flower bed on the roof of an apartment building. An old lady who tends to the flowers finds a new flower the next day. As she is trying to figure out what it is, the plant reaches out with its roots and starts sucking the life out of her. The plant uses her substance to form a new body: the body of a beautiful woman. Later, a young man living in the building meets this exotic "new tenant" and is sexually tempted by her, in spite of his monogamous relationship. Eventually he succumbs and makes love to her, whereupon she reveals that she came to Earth in order to repopulate her race, and needed only to find a father for her billions of hungry children.

Like Sil from Species the alien plant lady is looking for a suitable mate. The first male she meets is not up to par. She lifts him up and uses him for fertilizer.
She has a strange hypnotic attraction to men.

First one or two seasons of Outer Limits was pretty good but after a while they just started running out of ideas. From what I remember, most of the later stuff was just some variation on a popular sci-fi film but made on a TV-studio budget. Sliders had the same problem. Started out decent then devolved into episodic remakes of much better films.

I believe it was Outer Limits that had a male scientist create and infect himself with nanites. The nanites kept upgrading him, but not really how he wanted them too. He ended up killing himself. After the funeral his girlfriend cut her hand pretty badly. She took off for the bathroom to stop the bleeding. By the time she got to the bathroom she was shocked to see her hand fully healed.

OK the cut was not that bad, but still it could have been interesting to see how "New Bread" would have continued. Jump to 42 minutes to see the part I was talking about.
