Argonaut, for shame... no, it's not GB.

That would've been:

"Is this true?"
"Yes, sir, it's true. This man has no dick."

*******

(to a police officer with a police van behind him)
"Dropping off or picking up?"
"Dropping off."
"Come right in."

*******

"Your girlfriend lives in the corner penthouse of spook central."

(that'd be an easy one, I think)

*******

"All right... who brought the dog...?"

:)

Keep thinking, Argo. It is a comedy movie.

Same movie as 'asshole, sir':

"When did this happen in the movie?"
"Now, sir. We're looking at 'now'. Everything that happens now, is happening 'now'."

*******

Ah, another person who's seen the glory that is Blazing Saddles, and doesn't mind admitting it.

"Oh, no. I never eat on an empty stomach."

"No no no, don't shoot. Bullets just make him angry."

Wow, this thread has been dead for a while ...

Anyway -- in my story "Snow Angel," Karen says:

"You know how to whistle, don't you, hotshot? You just put your lips together and -- blow."

What movie did I swipe that line from (changing "Steve" to "hotshot")?

Great quote! I think it's from a Humphrey Bogart movie where he's a boat captain that romances a singer while helping people escape from the Nazis.

Arg, I'm drawing a blank on the name of the movie, though!

Your description of the movie is accurate.

Who can help Rasa with the title?

Here's a clue. "Slim" aka Lauren Bacall delivers the line to Steve.
If you think about this long enough, you should have it.

THE BIG SLEEP (1946)

With a screenplay by Leigh Brackett and William Faulkner -- though I think that classic line was probably improvised.

There was a remake decades later, with Robert Mitchum. Action shifted to England for some reason. Only good thing about it was that they used the Philip Marlowe soliloquy at the end. Anybody here remember THAT?

Man, you guys are all over the map on this one. Bogart, but not CASABLANCA, not THE MALTESE FALCON, not THE BIG SLEEP, not DARK PASSAGE. Rasa drew a blank on the title, but he got everything else right. It was directed by Howard Hawks and co-starred a 19-year-old Lauren Bacall in her first screen role; Walter Brennan and Hoagy Carmichael were also in it. Anyone want to take another shot at this before ace posts the answer?
