Most people think the Valkyrie disappeared about a thousand years ago, back when the Norse converted from Asatru/Odinism to Christianity. But they are mistaken. The Valkyries still fly, carrying the souls of the bravest of fallen warriors to Valhalla to be healed.
They've updated their look a bit and gave up their swords, but the job's the same.
Here's one, caught by the camera as she prepared to take flight off a rooftop.

During a hard day at the office, it's always good to take five minutes out to stretch your legs and get a little fresh air. Some go for a stroll around the block, while others sneak away to the office balcony and read a book... But for mild mannered Linda Danvers, nothing beats throwing open the office window and leaping (in a single bound, naturally) onto a nearby gargoyle.
Her friends are constantly amazed at how Linda doesn't seem to have a fear of heights -- it's almost as if she doesn't care if she falls.
Now, you may wonder how Linda manages to keep herself warm in the freezing temperatures so high up. Well, her secret is simple: she always wears extra layers underneath her office clothes, including a nice thick cape. Plus she keeps a pair of snazzy tall boots ready too, for whenever they're needed.
Her friends worry that sooner or later Linda is going to get hurt. They keep telling her that she can't expect one of those strange costumed superheroes to always be around if she needs rescuing -- but Linda just gives a little smile and mutters "Why not? Spidey owes me a favour or two..!"

The Train: Coming out of the mountains and moving fast downhill. Four diesel engines in front, one-hundred and twenty freight cars behind and two diesels pushing.
The Girl: Mary Marvel. Power level: unknown
The Bet: That she can't stop the train in less than a hundred yards.
Result: One hell of a mess and a horrific cacophony of screeching, banging and crashing, with one freight car landing upside down at a distance of 120 yards from the crossing.
Hurray: You win the bet, which lets you name your prize.
Now it gets really interesting.

Yup... great costume and great models back in those Las Vegas days. A lot of resources in Vegas for making quality costumes, given all the casino shows and so forth.

When she was young, Malin spent an entire year as a groupie, following a band around while dating the drummer. When asked why the drummer, and not the front men, she said: "Drummers know how to keep a rhythm going."
Nice that she had some of her priorities figured out while still a teenager.
She also claims:
"I have been a goof my whole life. I wasn't really the popular girl in school and didn't have any boyfriends in high school because I was a nerd. I was a geek."
Not entirely sure I buy that! In what alternate universe are tall, hot, Swedish blondes ignored in high school?
