I saw the little video, but it didn't mention anything about WonderWoman.
And what about Lauren Graham? Yeah, she's hot! But, she's also older than me. (I'm 38). Where am I not clicking to get all this good scoop?

More casting rumors...

www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_27262008.shtml

"Although names including Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Lopez have been bandied about in recent years to star in the long-anticipated big screen "Wonder Woman," writer-producer Joss Whedon doubts he'll use a big name for the part."

I reackon Whedon is a one trick pony. Buffy, Angel, Serenity... they were all the same.

Who else thinks he'll make Wonder Woman a 100lb teenage neurotic?

Nope, not me.

And when you say they're all the same... I agree... all excellent written and directed shows.

While I eventually tired of the Buffy franchise, I enjoyed most of Whedon's other works. I absolutely love Firefly! My favorite TV series of all time.

I haven't seen Serenity yet (hasn't come to my corner of the world), but I'll have the DVD in late December. If its half as good as Firefly, it'll be great.

Net, net... I give Josh a 80% chance of pulling off an an entertaining WW portrayal... as long, and this is a biggy, he has the freedom to be truly creative. Which means he can bend the WW story a bit. I happen to love such bendings, tweaking the establishment a little, as those who are familiar with my writing would know.

More Whedon talk about Firelfly, Goner, and, of course, Wonder Woman. Nothing really new, though, about Wonder Woman except that it could take a back seat to Goner.

More in the infinite stream of Wonder Woman rumors...

Apparently, Whedon wants Morena Baccarin, and Silver wants Jessica Alba. Either works for me -- just pick one already!

On a related note, it appears that, like Buffy and Serenity, Whedon's other movie project, Goners, will also feature a "strong-willed heroine." I wonder whether one could drop the "-willed" and still be left with an apt description of the movie...

Ok, I checked the dates this time, and this one's current.

www.iesb.net/upcomingfilm/021406.php

IESB: How soon do we get some announcements? Is Joel [Silver] pushing you? When do we find out who is going to be Wonder Woman?

JW: We find out who is going to be Wonder Woman when they cast it…I am finishing the script now, I am a few weeks away from a draft, they'll take a look at that and they'll either say this is absolutely perfect for Paul Sorvino or they'll say this sucks and hire somebody else, it's impossible to say but I think in a few weeks time they should get a sense of what I am doing in the movie and then we can start talking about casting.

IESB: Now do you have anything in mind, what age she is going to be, she is going to be young 20's?

JW: Again, I do and I don't, it's a coming of age story but it's a coming of age story for somebody who's not necessarily an adolescent she's never been off this island that she lives on so she literally could be between 15 and 30, we find the actress who is right for that…we hire her, it doesn't matter how old she is.

More in the continuing saga of Wonder Woman casting rumours...

TVGuide.com: Hey, are you going to star in Wonder Woman? [Buffy creator Joss Whedon is writing and will direct a big-screen take on the superheroine, to be produced by Joel Silver.] What a great fit that would be.
Carpenter: I know! From your lips to God's ears... or Joss'... or Joel's....

...

TVGuide.com: Another baby?
Carpenter: I'd like to eventually, but I want Wonder Woman right now. I'm not holding my breath but I'm crossing my fingers and toes and praying.

Well, Charisma Carpenter has got a fair number of the credentials, as seen in the following picts:

Could work... she's also very athletic.

The rumor was that she was taken off the short list and "blew it" after she posed nude in Playboy or some other magazine. Warner Bros didn't want their WW with a tainted past. That, however, was before Josh took the scripting chores over so who knows.....

I agree though, an excellent choice.....
