I’ve always gotten a kind of, um, other-worldly vibe from this gal, and I don’t mean that in a negative way. It’s like I can imagine her being from another planet, a planet far away, a planet that perhaps, sadly no longer exists. A planet with a much stronger gravitational pull than our Earth. Yeah, that’s it! And maybe this planet has, not a yellow sun, but a red sun. And a person from this planet, while being perfectly ordinary on their world, might have amazing, god-like powers on ours! Brilliant! With that in mind, I give you, Sophie Ellis Bextor .

Super-Sophie announces to the crowd that just because she's now Empress of the Earth, doesn't mean she can't put on a kick-ass show for them! Unfortunately, some drunk in the audience started to heckle Sophie, telling her to "get the fuck off the stage, you bitch" etc. Even though he was in the midst of hundreds of people, Sophie was able to hone in on him, and with a flash of her heat vision, he was gone. *Pfft!* Vaporized. And she did all this without even missing a beat!

That ain't water, bud. That's hydrofluoric acid, one of the most corrosive acids known to man. Its effect on Super-Sophie? Zilch.

Never heard of her before, but I guess she must be huge in the UK. I can see why. Thx for the post.

When I was a kid, her birth was a minor scandal in the UK. A children's TV presenter lost her job because she got pregnant "out of wedlock". Twenty years later, this hot singer turns up out of nowhere and it took a while for anyone to realize that she was that baby.

Before she was a solo artist, she was vocalist for a band called 'theaudience'. There were three good songs on their album, which is why I still have it around.

Hmm, I'm thinking I need to start a thread for Sarah Nixey from 'Black Box Recorder'?
