What If Mary Jane Watson.... was created by lfan
It's all crossed our minds, and even produced some fan art and fan fiction here in the SWM libraries. Now Marvel Comics is showing us for real....
In case you haven't been following the "Spider Island Saga" in the current comics (that's ok, it kinda sucks, in my opinion), Mary Jane's powers FINALLY kicked in at the end of last issue. This next one (on shelves Oct 12) seems to feature her a little more prominently as per this cover:

Not bad.
I've got mixed feelings about this. I always liked the fact that many authors portrayed MJ as a self-sufficient woman, without having to deal with supepowers, as much as I hate that others reduced her to a weeping damsel in ditress waiting for Pete to save her.
Giving her superpowers it's not concept that I can suppport too much, but given the current state of Spidey's titles i's probably the lesser to several evils.

Well, it wasn't very discriminatory....they gave EVERYONE superpowers! I can't get past the art style...not a big fan!

It only had 2 pages with Mary Jane. I was so disappointed. Not a big fan of this Spider Island event so this felt like a complete waste.

At the end of Amazing Spider-man 672, does MJ still have her spider powers?
