OT: Today's tragedy
<Real_Life_Perspective ON>
My thoughts and prayers go out to Londoners and their familes everywhere with this morning's horrific events. I find it amazing and sad to think people capable of such hatred but sadly its the sign of the times.
I know the people of England will rebound from this tragedy and be stronger cause of it, but that doesn't make it any easier....
I talked to CF earlier today and I know he's ok, but to other friends across the pond (Goon?), drop a message whenever convenient so we know you're ok....
Peace (hopefully, one day :cry: )

My condolence to the victims who weren't so lucky.
Seeing such things happen reminds me of a quote:
"There are two things that are infinite. The universe and mankind's
stupidity. ... but I still have my doubts about the universe.."
(Albert Einstein)
Let's hope for better days...

Like Conceptfan, it's good to know we have friends out there in cyberspace. Thank you for your concern.
As I live about 80 miles north of London it didn't hit me direct. But like the rest of the country it hits you hard! (indirectly). Just as the UK was on a high (L8 + Olympics), this barbaric attack happens.
Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and the injured.
Once again thank you to our friends in cyberspace.

Going home I saw police filing the streets and the train stations and interviewing everyone who passed asking if they had been in the affected areas and had any possible information. I hope their great efforts are matched with great success in finding the bombers.

Great! For some reason, I thought you were from US -- I didn't know your were in London, but glad you're safe, nonetheless. Bet its chaotic over there right now, but hope when dust settles, like you said, they'll find the people responsible swiftly.....

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Cf and I touched base early in the day and most of the rest of the day I spent responding to emails from friends stateside and elsewhere.
