Lisa Matthews has a problem.
It's not that she is really Kira Lynn Zenerha-Shar Jahr’ling, one of three women charged with protecting the entire planet from being invaded by the Arion Empire while at the same time keeping both their existence and her own a secret from the disbelieving humans around her.
It's not even that she's also CEO of Tyrell Pharmaceuticals, a multinational fortune 500 company she founded to make life easier for her disbelieving protectorate.
Her problem is in two thousand miles away in New York where a warehouse containing her closest friends and deepest secrets won't answer the phone.
So this time, donning her Protector uniform (a paint thin invulnerable fabric very much like the one found here) means more than saving innocents; her friend's lives are on the line.
But while she is prepared for the worst, what she finds is both easier, and more horrifying than anything she could have imagined.
At the same times she's also got to evaluate a Brazilian Orchid, convince Linith's father that her duties as a Protector mean more than saving him petrol money, plan a shopping spree with Cat, break into a bank vault and convince a Russian tycoon that lives are worth more than money, and it's not even midday!
