10 second guide to setting your avatar

12 Sep 2013 19:52 #33000 by fats
Hi all,

I've noticed that members have some quite good avatars and some have none so here is the 10 second guide to setting your avatar.
  1. on the home page click on the default avatar in the "Me, Myself and I" module, this will take you to your profile page.
  2. place your mouse cursor over the edit button and from the list click on "Update your Image"
  3. In the new screen you have two options either select a default image from the bottom or you can upload your own image
  4. if you choose to upload your own image, click on the browse button, use the dialog box to select a image from your own computer then click open, lastly click on the upload button to upload your avatar.
  5. if you choose to use one of the images that is available then select icon you want then click on the confirm choice button to change your avatar.

And that's it, the last step is one that an admin will need to take and that is to confirm the image in the backend once that is done your image will appear.

If anyone needs extra help please Pm me and I'll help where I can.

One more little, but important note, the maximum size of an avatar picture is 500x200 pixels and the file size can't exceed 20000 KB!
