I voted for DKC. Yah yah I know the other contest entries were great. And it's true that chapter #6 is not the best entry in the series. But what can I say? Apparently my heartfelt obsession with Infinity Girl trumps all. Thx for the great reads everyone.

Really good selection of stories! Like everybody else, it was hard for me to choose, but I went with "Reunion Tour". It's definitely a more than worthy sequel to CF's work!

So far I've read "Super Secret Agent", "Blind Date", and "Reunion Tour"--and loved them all! I expect I'll love the other two also, but it might take me a while to get to them .

49 votes so far, would be nice if we hit 50 before the poll ends.
Btw does anybody remember how many votes there had been at prior workshops? Just to see if it really makes a difference to put the poll on the front page.

Thanks for the info fats. So it doesn't seem like the front page poll makes much of a difference. How long will the poll continue btw, May 31th?

Finally thougt about casting my vote.
It goes to Infinity Crisis, although I have to admit, that I liked the other parts more. But the interviewing scene is just well...gotta love her attitude.
As for the other publishers: thx a lot, u gave me some great reading materials.
A litte critic, if you don^t want it, thats also fine:
I really liked super secret agent and reunion tour. The second one indeed was a great spin off, liked the action and the girl. Just dunno...The story lacked new content somewhat(but hey, just my opinion). SSA was pretty decent too, really hoping for a sequel in which M can reveal herself to James and show him, who "the empires most dangerous agent" really is.
As for the other two subscriptions: Lex Appeal somehow missed my taste. Although the story is very well written and kind of original, it had too less ss-action in it. The same counts for blind date, although I preferred this one more then Lex Appeal. Reason: Very well thought out story - and as had been mentioned before - not a easy subject to put on paper. Also great heroine/villainesse, would love to read more about her.
Again: Thx a lot guys again, u just motivated me to participate in the next workshop as well

I think the lesson I'll take from this workshop is that I should not try to write in somebody else's voice.

Maybe, maybe not. I think that you did a good job with your story, but failed to give it a unique spin. As faithful as you were to the original ideas and style, you're not CF.
In my opinion you should have put something of a personal spin to the story. So that it was recognizable as your work.

It's difficult enough to stay faithful to the original, and there's no arguing that you succeeded with that. The problem may be that the story was pretty much a one-shot to begin with so that a sequel doesn't have much to build up on.
65 votes till now, only 9 missing from last years spring workshop!
