Season 3 Filming Starts

Filming / script prep has started today for Melissa and the team.

Supergirltv.com reports that Erica Durance of Smallville fame is replacing Laura Benati in the role of Alura Zor-El.

Have to say, Melissa is looking absolutely stunning at her latest shoot.

The panel at SDCC is worth a watch, even just to see the cast having a laugh

Like all new seasons, there was some tid-bits of info, but a lot of it is still under wraps. Cat coming in for season 3, even if its on and off, was welcome news for fans to be sure. And I was actually a bit surprised to see a trailer for the season, given they have only been shooting a couple weeks.

The interesting thing about the spoiler is Kara's lack of heed to disguise herself to the public as she tares off her glasses. Perhaps her secret will have been outed by PSI?

I can only imagine Clark will be saying "WTF do you think you are doing?"

It could be an interesting dynamic to series three to build Supergirl up.

So from the look of it, the relationship between Kara and Alex will be one of the central themes this season. It'll be so front and center that it'll be a key element in the two night crossover between all four of the CW's DC shows in November or December. I had heard that the crossover would be a more personal one, and based on this news, as well as the producers saying that the upcoming season of Arrow would center on family as well, I'm guessing that there will be no big evil invasion or some such that causes our heroes to come together. Maybe a wedding or two, given that the Flash will reportedly be getting married this season and Alex did pop the question last season.

3x06 looks interesting as Kara is played by a younger actress as a teenager at high school. A chapter of "growing up Super" by the looks of things...
