Basically, a paralyzed person has a brain implant that lets him move a robotic arm and control a computer just by thinking about it. As this technology improves, you know they'll eventually have implants that allow the human mind to have fine control over various machines.
It's only a matter of time before damaged muscles are replaced by synthetic ones that can be controled with this type of interface. So real world science just took a major step forward towards the concept of a bionic human being, and it's a safe bet that such bionic muscles will be stronger than natural ones.
