Ok. That is not a cool superheroine costume. I guess the producers are going for "chick flick".
Hopefully the producers will throw some action in there to try and satify the guys. I guess we'll see.
Any speculation on what the "G" stands for?

one).
Here is the "Claire Kent" outfit.

Vs the "Superbabe" outfit.

To me, she looks like the perfect New York Fifth Avenue Superbabe that
women will love.
I think if the casting were left to us guys, we would go for Sports Illustrated swimsuit models, but I think women prefer to dream about
being New York fashion Supermodels and Uma fits that bill quit well.
Now that I have seen the costume, it is easy to see why they picked Uma for the role.

The gloves are cool, too. I don't know why, but there's just something classy about a woman in gloves that's always appealed to me.
With her flat chest, I don't think it would matter what she wore on top, unless she stuffed her bra.
The coat adds a sense of realism that is probably lacking from most superhero costumes. Hopefully, she won't wear it when in action, since it just seems like it would get in the way. Or maybe it's like Superman's cape, where it really should get in the way, but we're supposed to ignore that fact because the writers always do.
As for JumperPrime's question, when was spandex ever IN style? Superheroes wore colorful costumes when they were first invented because of the limitations of the printing techniques, and the attempt to appeal to kids, not because anyone ever though spandex was cool. Now, it's just tradition. This is more realistic.
Overall, I'd say this is about as sexy as we ever could have realistically expected from this movie. I personally would have preferred a woman with more curves, but she does look fairly nice in this outfit.

(translation, she would love to look like that) and I think she looks both
glamorous and sexy as well. Let's hope they do a better job with this than was done with "Catwoman”.

As for definite proof, we know she's at least semi-uber from these latest pics on the set:

Not that I like these names, but I was thinking maybe "Galaxy Girl", or "Galactic Girl" (if she comes from another planet), or maybe "Gamma Gal" (if she aquired her powers through some kind of experiment gone wrong, like the Hulk). Anyway I hope she has the full-range of super-powers, and I hope she doesn't just have super-strength, but ludicrous-strength! I think the more powers she has, and the more super she is, the more creative the writers can be, and the more fun the movie will be, not just for us, but for movie goers in general.

Love the costume. I want the movie to be a success. Success breeds clones in the movie biz. The boots and short booty shorts really rock. Coat is needed in NY. Uma is a bit flat but I'll tune that out. Hopefully she has plenty of powers. I would think the more powers she has the more inventive the script writers can be. Great blonde hair and a wonderful smile. Hope to see her smiling as she pulls off her stunts. Her Clark Kent personality is cute as well. Very convincing. As for it being a chick-flick, I won't mind that. Scorned women are extremely evil and vengeful. Which is right up my alley as long as I'm not the target.
Can't wait to head home in Jan for a few weeks of leave. I know I'll be spending a few days locked up in my basement trying to catch up. Too many eyeballs around here to do any of it.

My motto here is "Shoot first and then shoot again". We took mortar fire two days in a row recently. Luckily the training program for mortar crewman is pretty pathetic. I also have a video taken of a local national screwing a donkey. It is through telephoto nightvision. Very funny narration.

It also looks like she lost her symbol and has some holes in her costume. I wonder if she got into a big fight?

Actually the holes the look like a natural part of her costume to me. The G-Girl character may be some kind of fashionista, which would seem to fit a "needy and manipulative" character that the film implies.

You could be right. I just noticed that the clothes she is "flying" in are different than the costume pictures that were posted earlier in this thread.

-- Uma's character is "G-Girl"
-- Uma can fly
-- Uma has superstrength
-- At least one throatlift is in the movie (have seen stills)
-- There is a scene where Uma uses superbreath (to extinguish a fire?)
-- Uma gets either hit by a car or thrown into a car at some point
-- Uma gets thrown through a window
-- And the best for last, according to IMDB, Anna Faris plays "Hannah" the new girlfriend. Well, I've heard from an extra on the film that the film includes a scene where G-Girl battles Hannah "in the skies". Now unless Hannah is a fighter pilot, I would assume she is also super -- either secretive or gains powers at some point. This would also explain how a super like Uma could get "get thrown" into things I guess
Unfortuately, the title of the movie isn't changing though
Anyone got any new information on this

Have heard a variety of interesting plot points or action tidbits in the movie. Keep in mind that these come from a variety of sources -- interviews with stars, blogs, and some conversations with me on the set -- so they are a mish-mash of things that supposedly got filmed. Whether they stay in the movie is up to Ivan, whether they are true, well....don't blame me, but this is some of the things I hear (SPOILERS BELOW):

Oh, you'd be surprised what the staff of SGI can dig up from time to time! Other than that, just try googling....

Here's the movie's newly released poster. Looks pretty good, having something those of us here like.
