As a Tamaranian, when she's suitably powered up, she can hold her own against Wonder Woman in hand-to-hand combat, and can also drain a Kryptonian's power if they kiss. She's big into kissing.

When something big needs bending or some serious hammering, or some steel stock needs stretching and compressing, or just reshaping, or a heavy transport needs to be held off the ground while he replaces an axle, she's his girl.
He treats her like his daughter, but all the villagers know that she's actually a Synth. Initially trained to be a new kind of Companion, she was dismissed when she failed to be able to control her strength. Some of the men down at the Pub try to forget that last part, given she drinks with them and acts so much like a human, but the blacksmith protects her like he would his own daughter.
He might be getting old, but you don't pick a fight with a blacksmith. Or his young assistant with Companion training, who can work steel with nothing but her bare hands.
(This image and scene inspired a story of village life in some outer rim planet, ala Firefly, but unfortunately it's in my very big pile of started but unfinished stories. )

The way Supergirl was written and drawn in 1972. The style of writing was interesting compared to now. Back when comics were escapism of the highest form.

Is very true Shadar, in my childhood in the 70s and 80s, the comics together with the hard novels, were the way we had to evade the gray reality that was life in Spain together with the only two television networks that there was, well, only one, since in the town or on the beach the second channel did not tune in or did not arrive. Since not everything was LA MOVIDA, or Almodóvar's films.
And for the record, we couldn't afford to buy a lot of comics or buy them all the time. They were always second-hand, offers 3 for 25 pesetas, or things like that. Messy. And always unfinished, not knowing how the story or the adventure continues. Also in my case and in a personal way, the comics served me as a refuge and also as a prison from the outside world, by locking myself in them to flee from bulling, betrayals and all the damage I suffered.
And what is worse is that it was in the years in which one is forming as a person, learns to make friends, first loves, etc. And because of the bulling and the great shyness I did not learn anything from any of that.
I don't have a family, I don't have friends, it doesn't relate to me, so I don't know what I am as a human being. And I only have my comics and my books to be able to face the outside world.
I'm sorry if I Disturbe.

I spent a year and a half in Portugal in the early 70's (on the Azores, thanks to Uncle Sam) and got a pretty good understanding of how repressive the Portuguese dictatorship was, so I probably have at least a vague feel for Spain at the time. Went to Barcelona in 1971 to get motorcycle parts for my Bultaco dirt bike, but only as a tourist.

I took some of my own refuge in the comics of the era, and was completely entranced by the Supergirl comics of the day, such as the Adventure issue this image came from, but we had to ask buddies to fly in with them from the US when returning from Leave. Once in a while the base PX had comics, and I think I might have bought a few Supergirl issues that way, but nothing was available in the Portuguese economy. They were fighting their equivalent to Vietnam in the African colonies at the time, and things were screwed down pretty tight.
For me, the pure escapism of that era's comics was wonderful and allowed me to go far away in my thoughts. So I still have a huge amount of nostalgia for that era of comics, but like all things, I try not to get too obsessed with it. There are many other areas of interest too.
But there is still a simple joy that comes when going back to read those issues, all of which I still have.
Here are a few more images from that time period.

Except for those of Joyas Ilustradas, and those of marvel published by Ediciones Vertice, with the label for those over 18 years of age. It was like that. And you were seen reading Esther and her world o girl comics was falling on you ......
On the beach I secretly read the comics of my cousins and wanted to have as playmates and classmates CATY THE CAT GIRL or ATLANTA THE GIRL OF TOMORROW.
Look this link

Those of us who read the Warrior in the mask dreamed of being the crew of the Pirate Captain's ship. now I'll put a link to a pinup of her.
A question does not give an air to the wonder woman, that if with more clothes. Here the censorship towards lowering skirts and raising necklines, among other things.

This I have discovered, and it seemed real. But unfortunately it was an innocent or as they say in English an april foot.
I wish it was real like Alter g anti-gravity treadmills.I was already thinking of putting it on my list of impossible gifts to the wise men, along with flying in zero gravity, a date with a superheroine, riding the rotor attraction, or flying or levitation.

If the shooter is smart, they would give up now. But if not, well, the blouse is already ruined. Fire away. Eventually, one of the ricochets is going to find its way back to the shooter and ruin his whole day.

Basically, a rebellious, teenage Supergirl who is trying to figure out who she is. Hard enough for any teenager to grow into an adult, but when you're from Krypton, both by history and by abilities, its a lot harder, given the possibilities are far greater. For good or bad.
