Thanks for the feedback. We're evolving, and at the moment it's just me, a one man band, working with other photographers to bring content. I'm not a VFX wiz, or a master at manipulations like the awesome Daubster, and ProjectSuperwoman are. I'm just one man, doing this in his spare time, just like the late Chris of HeavenlyHeroines was, God rest his soul.I like the idea, the models look great and the site is well built. However, I have to say, the costumes are THE most important part in a venture like this one, and these cheap Halloween store costumes just won't cut it. It has to be something form fitting, that makes the girl look powerful. Higher quality costume are not that much more expensive than these ones, so there's really no excuse for it
However, I have to point out that the costume criticism part of your post seems slightly ignorant. I'm not sure you are aware of the logistics of a site like ours, your ignorance is widespread among fans who do not understand how a site like us operate, or the sheer cost involved.
There is a big difference between shop made costumes, and custom ones, in both quality and price. The CW one (a shop "halloween" one) we used was actually a rush buy, as a custom ordered one got lost coming from abroad during the peak of COVID, we needed a suit quick to avoid cancelling the model, Elle, as we didn't want to let her down and want her as a regular model. The shop bought one was only £35, whereas our brand new Supergirl Matrix costume was $500 from a seamstress in the USA. She is WAY above the quality of Chinese sellers, and as you can see, the price is astronomically different, as well as the quality. Chinese costumes are OK but they are often made in a rush, and won't stand up to much role playing in them. We're experimenting with different suppliers. Our Wonder Woman battlesuit was also a custom, albeit from a Chinese factory. It is a good outfit and we've had good feedback.
On top of the costumes, we have the model's labour costs (£140 to £200 an hour), shoot setup time, equipment costs (mid range dSLR is £400, and our Sony 4K camcorder was £800), this isn't even counting website hosting, development (site software licenses), and also photoshoot/video post production (and the software licenses, as we do not do piracy here at SA). We even pay the model's accommodation, travel and food. Of course we feed her!
So, the total cost of one shoot, with new costume, can run into £1,000+ taking all that into consideration. It makes the cost of the photoset that you pay, pennies in comparison and it takes us months to recoup it. So as you can see, there is "an excuse" for it.
I'm sure you also appreciate how a one man band fan like me, who does a night job, and does this in his spare time for the love of superheroes would take slight offense to your comment. But, hey ho, you can't please everyone and that's not what I'm trying to do. I do hope this has changed your outlook slightly, and that you will become a supporter, because I'd love your input. I'm thinking of a GoFundMe or Kickstarter to help pay for battlesuits if you'd like to help?
Here's a sneak peek of our new Supergirl Matrix suit. Definitely $500 well spent, and certainly way above £35 quality! I'm post producing the shoot and video, they'll be up soon. Annabelle took it for its maiden flight and she did it justice! Matrix suit with 70's style medium size logo:

However, when I was talking about cheap high quality costumes, I was talking about sites like this one www.zentaihero.com/index.php?main_page=p...197&products_id=3610
I haven't bought costumes from this site, so I can't vouch for it, but I did see lots of favorable reviews. Their 3D printed costumes (like this one www.zentaihero.com/index.php?main_page=p...=64&products_id=4306) are very high quality

I'm always skeptical about these sites, as the only images they have are of stolen web images of girls in their own suits with faces blurred, the images are not usually indicative of the quality of their own products. The 3D printed ones are easy to make, that's why their popularity is increasing. ProjectSuperwoman used one for some of Michaela's shoots, but I still prefer replica style suits, like the Matrix one MandyCosplay (Amanda Lynn) has made for us, and the suits made by ActionCosplay that go for $600. They are almost perfect compared to the film originals, and well worth the money. Makes photoshoots that bring fantasy to reality. That is significantly better. Good job man, def money well spent

And that's what we're about. The glamour of heroes and heroines looking good in their suits. All our suits will be replicas at most, or at least, mid range Chinese ones upwards of $200. We'll be getting realistic foam props in too, such as crowbars, guns and wrenches. It all costs money though and right now I'm not making enough profit to justify it as it's a hobby.
We aim to carry on where SuperSexyHeroines and UltraSexyHeroines left off, but in our case with guys and girls. It was a boredom buster during lockdown, but I'll see how it goes.

1) Better costumes are a big deal for me as well. The new matrix suit is absolutely a step in the right direction, so I'm glad that you're headed that way. You also have a lot of nice teasers of the classic 1984 movie costume on your website. I really hope we get to see that soon. That would clinch it for me. I realize they are a bit pricey. I only hope that a small capital investment leads to a greater payoff later.
2) I'm nervous about the payment method. Credit card companies tend to trigger fraud warnings when people suddenly buy stuff overseas. I've had situations where my bank just outright deactivated my card for making a suspicious purchase.

Hi Veggicidal,Glad to see you being involved. I would love to become a customer. I mainly just need to see two things:
I take your comments about costumes on board. The teaser pics in page sides on the site were one off shots of geekesses I shot for the website, in their own costumes. Some are royalty free images I purchased licenses for. I don't actually have an '84 suit but I'm working on it, it is my next step as I loved Helen Slater, she is the OG Supergirl for me, as '85 was when I was born. But, I love Melissa Benoist too, and her suit, although I find it too dark, so '84 is still my fave.
Re: the payment method. I had to use Stripe as PayPal integration is acting weird, it doesn't finalize transactions so I have to confirm funds receipt, and then generate links, sending emails from the system with links, all manually. Stripe just works auto. I'm working stuff out though

Stay tuned. If you like Matrix Supergirl as well as '84 (heck they're close enough identical!), you'll love Annabelle's new set. Coming soon to a Superhero Academy near you lol!

I didn't reply to the one you sent asking if I'd advertised on this site, I didn't see it. To the ones asking about your custom idea, with respect I did tell you that I'm not a graphic designer or a VFX guy, and you kept asking me to send your idea to people. That isn't my job, with respect again I have a busy life myself. I'm keeping up with a full time nightshift job, as well as running Superhero Academy in my spare time, as well as helping out with family. My Dad recently passed away so I've slowed down a bit as it's affected me mentally..Hi james i sent u some private messages on Superheroinefourm.com but u never replyed.
I love helping people, but I've been told I need to focus more on myself, and take my cape off for a while

Plot:
You get home, and there's Annabelle, your cute girlfriend, known as Belle, dressed casually in shirt & jeans. While admiring her, you notice something colourful under her white shirt. Looks like a diamond "S"?
Belle has something to show you! She gingerly takes off her shirt, revealing full Matrix Supergirl battlesuit, slipping off her jeans revealing her lovely legs in her sexy knee high heroine boots! You're blown away! She looks great in this costume! But it *isn't* a costume.
She "is" Supergirl, Belle Zor-El, & this costume is her sexy battlesuit!
She poses for you there in her living room, showing off her strength, bending a metal pole, showing off her flight and landing poses. Best of all, she's feeling really sexy showing her super-alter ego to you!
She seductively leads you upstairs where she flirts and poses for you even more! Lots of guys would love to be where you are right now so make the most of it, fella, before she flies off to save someone! Supergirl, your caped angel!
It's your turn to fly her to Heaven, tiger!
When the full set is released there's 159 images at 2000x3000 (portrait) and 3000x2000 (landscape) images. All unphotoshopped!
NOTE: The final images don't have these huge watermarks, we use the big watermarks on public promos to protect our copyright and content. The final ones use smaller ones.

ActionCosplay that go for $600. They are almost perfect compared to the film originals, and well worth the money.
I just wanted to chime in and mention - ActionCosplay might be inconsistent.I got a costume a long while back and it was great. However, I was disappointed the S was premade/printed with a fuzzy material on a hard backing and affixed to the tunic with an iron on style heat treatment. ActionCosplay made a “gold level” SM costume where the “S” is sewn into the tunic which I wanted for SG. I saved up and asked them if they would do two customs (I wanted to alter one to work with a harness and keep one as a “hero” shot costume.) It was an expensive effort and one I took on right before they (apparently temporarily) closed their doors.I was not thrilled with the outcome of the "S" and so have not used the costumes at all. The rest of the costume is great quality. I asked them to change how the skirt attaches so I may have thrown them for a loop too. My old costume is great quality. Still, something just didn’t go right on the “S” twice and that’s really important to me.It looks like the same group/seamstress are re-launching under a new name (Edit: and also re-launched under the same name it looks like). Be careful out there.
Other than that congrats on all the new content James.

Here's a quick sample from Cassie B. Those of you into glamour and familiar with the OnlySites group will recognise her:

And then Saffron, a.k.a Sophie B, also from the OnlySites group. We also have a Wonder Woman shoot with her but the promos aren't done yet:

Neatened up Promos area
I've neatened up the Promos folder by adding a script to it as the default Apache directory listing was awful and non customisable. I'm going to be editing the folder names soon as they're a mess, so if anyone has links anywhere they will break and need to be edited. I haven't done it yet but I will post an update when I do, make sure to subscribe to the topic. This new promo script has a preview function so you can preview the image before clicking it where it will open in a new tab.
We have an Unreleased section in the Promo area for previews of upcoming shoots! I'm a tease, probably more than the girls!
superhero-academy.co.uk/promos/
I have also added ZIP files of the promos, for distribution. Promos are watermarked and can be distributed anywhere, even torrent sites, but you MUST alert anyone that downloads them that ANY modification is copyright infringement. They must remain unmodified.
Purchased content MUST NOT be re-distributed. It is licensed to you under a Personal Use license only.
New Costumes
We're in the process of aquiring new costumes. A Powergirl one, Supergirl '84 (Helen Slater), and a proper Supergirl CW pre Season 5 skirt outfit. What do you guys reckon to the new Season 5 pants version? Would you like that for shoots? I'm also planning a genderbent SuperMa'am costume. Even just doing shoots with a girl in a Superman outfit, because it's hot! Lois in her boyfriend's suit!
Other costumes that may be possible are Catwoman, Batgirl, Spider Gwen, Spidergirl. I'm thinking of crowdfunding the suits, so that we can buy the highest quality suits, and have them made by top seamstresses, such as Mandy who made our Supergirl Matrix suit.
Videos
These are proving to be a pain in the butt. They are behind the scenes videos, so have the audio cut out as a lot of it doesn't make sense as they're not start to finish type vids. Finding music to license is expensive, and difficult as the vids are 8-10 mins long, most tracks are 3-4 mins! We have also switched to 4K from Saffron's upcoming shoot onwards, and the software I use (Filmora), won't behave.
If anyone is good at superhero type music production, and would like to exclusively license or compose music for us using a DAW or similar we'd be happy to work something out, maybe discounts on content. It would have to be exclusive to avoid copyright strikes

I DON'T accept offers of video editing help from random strangers. Due to the fact that leaves me open to being ripped off and my content fraudulently plagiarized. I've had a few but I kindly decline.
Social Media
I've slacked keeping our socials up to date but am going to get there. We have SuperheroAcademy's own blog, Facebook, SuperwomenMania, SuperheroineForum to keep up to date. We're also launching our Twitter and Instagram pages for updates. Twitter keeps removing content, even though images are fully clothed superheroines! They're too prudish so we may drop them as a platform. We have YouTube for video promos, but that has fallen behind.
I'll put links to them in my signature soon.

I love the videos. Even a simple behind-the-scenes edit is perfect for my tastes, as long as the girl fits the suit and wears it well.

A heroine vs. heroine showdown, in lovely Portugal, by the pool!
This is Louise's second set with us but her first time in the Matrix Supergirl battlesuit. Saffron has done a solo Wonder Woman shoot with us, which has not yet been released.
Plot:
Wonder Woman (Saffron) learns of a new Kryptonian crusader who's landed on Earth. Supergirl Matrix, they call her. She has superpowers and lasers. Wonder Woman doesn't trust her, so meets with her, to settle things heroine to heroine.
Supergirl Matrix (Louise) can't seem to ease Wonder Woman's doubts. Wonder Woman challenges Supergirl to a pure strength fight. No superpowers or weapons, although Wonder Woman tries cheating at first! Naughty Amazonian warrior princess!!
Who will win? Or will they both become friends? Or more than that.....?

Meet Kay, a.k.a Kym Graham. She's a lovely cuddly size 10, and I bet one of her superpowers is she's a Super cuddly teddybear

I've also been busy on the costume front. I recently found an all in one Supergirl '84 suit on eBay (costume page on SA site HERE ), bought some gorgeous matching boots. I've bought a Powergirl suit, with boots, and a Spider Gwen suit. You'll all have to guess the model in the first shoot on that one, she'll keep her mask on most of the shoot! Like I said, I'm a tease!

I have to agree with this. Kym Graham looks an amazing super model and she must be a pretty penny on the bank sheets. Hopefully some sale orders can be pitched in.Also, what’s with all the teasers and no sales? I’m assuming you want to take my money at some point, yes? Hurry up and give us something more to buy!
