For those of you that have read, and remember it, I once wrote a spotlight on this story and the parts that came after.
Recently, Tsuper and I have been talking about it, and how it could have turned out differently.
This thread is then (mostly) for people who have read the story, but what would you guys have wanted to see happen in that story? What would you change?
(And DKC, if you are out there reading this, I hope you will one day write a story like this again XD )

Always adore the stories DKC writes! And Djinn is easily a favorite of mine! One easy "different path" is if Lisa actually received those super powers when she was in the hot tub.

I agree Lisa is the main 'road not taken'. Both her gaining the power under her own control and being on the receiving end of the rocks control. With her attitude and unstoppable power, yet forced to only use it at the command of someone else..
Also could be interesting to see what would have happened if Dylan had transferred the powers to the right Cindy. She seemed nice on the surface but who knows what it could have led to.

One of my stories has its own thread, I'm flattered =)
I think ive mentioned this before, but when I write a story I begin with the end in mind. I have a starting point, and I have an ending point, and all I need to do is connect the dots. To me, that's what makes for a good story. But what made Involuntarily Djinn so fun to write, was that I had no idea what was going to come next or how it was going to end.
Until I actually wrote it, I had no idea who was going to get the powers, or how it would turn out. And to be honest I have so many of these unedited stories I once thought I could put out one large story called the ABC's of Powers transfer. Within it, one very short story for every letter of the alphabet.
Jessica Rabbit acquiring a book to make her real, oh but before she did that she re-wrote her character to have all the powers of superman.
Lois Griffin taking all the powers of Superman. The list goes on
For every WS, even the ones I hadn't entered I always made an attempt and those stories still linger on my HD....So who knows, that might be fun to do.
I might not have written anything for a bit.....but im not retired, I'll be back =)
Thanks for the shout out

I can see what you mean.
Personally though, I'm much more thinking about the "What If's" regarding Maria, her potential mental powers, and the fact that she could grant wishes. Think about it:
If Maria and her husband had realized the possible power she actually had, they could have tried to be more smart about it.
I would personally have loved a route for this story where Maria gets to use more of her mental powers, or either she or her husband uses it to free her/give her even more power/turn her into something like a god as she might be the best person shown in the story to wield such power.
The Cindy route could also be worth exploring.

It is a nice philosphy. It has its strenghts, but I can also see it having some drawbacks.
Can you remember what inspired you to do the "Djinn" angle, and how powerful are the Djinn/Maria even? (Could she actually grant potentially any wish?)
