A post-apocalyptic setting

A post-apocalyptic setting was created by Thefirstone
An idea that caught my interest: A Kryptonian (or equivalent) girl is sent to Earth, probably on a ship with a stasis function of some kind, but during the trip Earth experiences a nuclear war or some equivalent catastrophe. As such, the girl lands in a Fallout-esque world and ends up being raised by scavengers, raiders or whatever. Has anyone ever done that before?

I can't think of an exact example, but once read a Worm fanfic with a similar-ish plot.

I think it would be more interesting if superheroes existed in the world and after the apocalypse, maybe there’s like a lab that has their DNA, and your female protagonist actually turns her self into Supergirl or the equivalent of supergirl, somehow. I thought about that because in fallout 76 and fallout 3 there’s like superhero outfits you can find.

I can't think of a story like that (sounds pretty cool), but apparently there's a Supergirl comic 1-shot that takes place in a post apocalypse:

There were a couple of Elseworlds with a partially similar premise, but they were pretty terrible. An idea that caught my interest: A Kryptonian (or equivalent) girl is sent to Earth, probably on a ship with a stasis function of some kind, but during the trip Earth experiences a nuclear war or some equivalent catastrophe.
