Wondering any baseball fans here.

Got some ideas from ChatGPT although it seems to be very confused about baseball rules.

In the vibrant city of Metropolis, a groundbreaking baseball league emerged featuring superwomen with extraordinary abilities. Meet Luna Lightning and Stellar Strike, two teammates with powers that added an electrifying twist to the game.

As the opposing team prepared to pitch, Luna stepped up to the plate, her eyes glowing with electric energy. With a swift swing, she sent the ball soaring into the sky, leaving a trail of sparks. Stellar, stationed in the outfield, activated her gravity manipulation powers, defying physics to effortlessly catch the blazing baseball.

As Luna sprinted to first base, she harnessed her super speed, leaving a streak of lightning in her wake. Stellar, now at bat, summoned miniature stars to orbit around her, creating a dazzling display that distracted the opposing pitcher. With a swing fueled by cosmic energy, she launched the ball into orbit.

Luna, now on second base, tapped into her telekinetic abilities to control the ball mid-flight, guiding it back to Earth. Stellar, using her ability to manipulate time slightly, slid into third base just ahead of the ball. The crowd erupted in cheers as the dynamic duo showcased their extraordinary teamwork.

The opposing team, determined not to be outdone, unleashed their own superpowers. A player with super strength pitched a fastball that cracked the sound barrier, while another with shape-shifting abilities contorted into a human net, attempting to catch Stellar's next hit. Yet, Luna and Stellar remained unfazed.

With a grin, Luna generated a magnetic field, attracting the ball towards her bat with irresistible force. Stellar, anticipating the pitch, adjusted time ever so slightly to ensure the perfect swing. The ball rocketed into the stratosphere, disappearing momentarily before crashing back to Earth, leaving a small crater in its wake.

Luna and Stellar, fueled by their passion for the game and the thrill of using their powers in unconventional ways, continued to redefine baseball in Metropolis. Each game became a spectacle of superhuman skill, with the duo's incredible plays etching their names into the city's sports history.

In a league where superpowers collided on the baseball diamond, Luna Lightning and Stellar Strike proved that even with extraordinary abilities, the essence of the game remained unchanged—a combination of skill, strategy, and the unbridled joy of playing America's favorite pastime.

Interesting sport. I like the concept of a sport where superpowers are required.

I invented the Velorian game of Scrumbles in an old story. Think of it as an insane version of rugby combined with North American football, but played by Velorian men and women who can tackle a main battle tank and win a push with it. Field is very big. Passing the ball-holder is perfectly acceptable. The scrums are awesome and sometimes seismic. Formations are three-dimensional since everyone can fly.

And if someone is hit hard enough to knock them up and over and out of the stadium, they are disqualified. So, of course, everyone tries to hit that hard.  Teams have to have equal numbers of females and males, at least at the start. Dangerous for spectators given that team members often land in the upper seats after a hard hit.

Heat vision is allowed. But given Velorian pheromones, and the fact that uniforms are usually shredded in the first quarter, scoring celebrations that involve crazy wild supersex with cheerleaders (who are both male and female) are cheered loudly.

Not safe at all to attend if you are merely Terran. Just walking by a stadium during a game might get you knocked off your feet by ground tremors from hard hits.

But thankfully, matches are streamed in full holographic detail for us Frails.

Here's a pict of a professional Scrumbles player holding the ball, which contains some kind of star-stuff and weighs precisely 50 metric tonnes.
