This just greatly increased the likelihood that I'll check out the show. ;-)

Something worth watching at last; too few scenes yet, but maybe in the future...

Couldn't resist when I saw Lesla Lar... a cover from a 1981 comic. The 70's might be my favorite decade, but there were some bright spots in the 80's.

If only... in 2021.

Just an FYI, next Tuesday the 23rd will be the final new episode of Superman & Lois for a couple months. Supergirl's final season will be taking over the timeslot as of the 30th, where it'll run until sometime in early summer before switching off with S&L for a couple months and then switch up again for the final stretch.

Can't resist posting a very old comic cover (1961) featuring Lesla-Lar -- her first appearance.

Note the interesting costume for SG -- very much an early 60's outfit. I love the wild imagination and great artwork from that era.

And this was 60 years ago !

I have a terrible habit of being "that guy" and correcting things. I should let this go as I think it's part of the fantasy of the site, and therefore I'm spoiling the fun. Still, I'm forced to point out that this is an alteration of the original panel.  This, of course, should not affect anyone's enjoyment of the image.

Here's a quick snapshot from Action Comics #279 as reprinted in Supergirl: The Silver Age Omnibus Volume 1.

What…? You mean one of the top hits from Mr. Google isn’t real? Shocked I am.

On the other hand, Lesla-Lar’s short skirt is more visible, and her outfit is a classic 1960 fantasy of what an advanced futuristic woman might wear. Remember that this was at the beginning of a very real fashion trend (thank you London) toward miniskirts. My thirteen year old self in 1961 was hoping that women would soon be walking around dressed like Kryptonians.

On the other hand, putting all Kryptonian men in tights was kind of odd. But I could ignore that given the glorious miniskirts.
