It's only good (strength) thing in whole series, seems the good stuff was supposed to come in season 4 (given the ending of the creator's plans for the canceled season 3 -> a fully powered Ursa!)

Where does the whole "throat lift" meme come from, anyway? It's gotta have an origin. 

I've never gotten into it, so I'm a bit mystified by its great popularity on SWM. Maybe I'm the odd one out.

If you like strong women, then throatlifts are just an obvious display of power over another person. It seems like a natural fit to me.

The parts I'm not into that a lot of people here get excited about are bar bending or lifting heavy objects (cars, boulders, huge weights, etc). I'm here to see women dominate other people, not inanimate objects.

I understand that... although I have the opposite perspective. Doing superhuman things with massive inanimate objects is a bigger thrill for me by far.

But when I think back on throat lifts now, and after reading some other replies, I believe I first ran into them back in the FemDom BBS sites in the late 80's (pre-Internet). FemDom was all about strong females physically dominating men, and a strong thread of that persists today. Your comment brought it home that the throat lift was the ultimate FemDom expression of personally intimidating and dominating a male. That has apparently never changed. Why should it?

I dabbled in writing FemDom stories for those BBS sites in the 80's, but it wasn't exactly my style, despite liking some of it a great deal. So once the Internet became widely available and we could all make our own web pages, I went off to invent my own style (Velorians), minus the throat lifts and certain other elements of FemDom. But still celebrating extremely powerful women and their relationships with ordinary men. 

Nice thing about fantasy in the many related micro-genres that make up the audience here on SWM, is that we share many core concepts but we get to go our own way on many other things. It's all about personal freedom of expression.

FemDom is almost certainly the earliest and most enduring of those genres, at least in my experience. Not surprising that it's still very popular. I suppose to no surprise, my thoughts in the 80s and my thoughts in the 2020s are largely unchanged when it comes to fantasy.

The above mentioned "Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain" is actually a much more rare double tl

The show has lots of superwoman action in it, Flying,kicking/pushing guys into the air, even a bit of super breath if  i remember correctly.

Love those eastern martial arts/costume drama's, many have very beautiful women doing some serious ass kicking often using super (chi) strength.

Only one episode currently available and no TL in it no. Plenty of strength scenes including throwing a boulder, ground smashing, She Hulk performing the classic hulk super clap with an interesting change, super leaps and destruction of objects.
