She's not a spot on, imo, but holy smokes she is looking good!

As is typical of the New York Post, who specialize in making stuff up for clicks, she’s not what they claim (an Air Force pilot). She’s actually a post-grad student at Harvard who graduated from the Air Force academy and once had a backseat ride in an F-16 like allother Academy graduates, studying Public Policy.

(Although she did earn a private pilot license on her own pre-Air Force when she was a high school student. 

Still, a lovely woman, but with no plans or prospects of being an actress either. 

But fantasies can be fun…

I didn't even know they were still doing Miss America contests. Even more for an Academy-educated military officer to become Miss America. 

Still, it feels like a hangover from last century when the most admired women was the ones with preternatural beauty. Pageant contestants used to be mostly airheads trading on their one talent. 

The 21st Century pageant contestant is a different kind of girl. Almost a supergirl in comparison.

I’m unsure if it is Miss America, but some pageant claims to be the largest provider of Scholarships to young women in the US (it is mostly due to a technicality, but they aren’t wrong).

I think we've reached the philosophical question of "If a beauty pageant isn't on television, does it still make a sound?" Nobody wants it anymore. No network, no cable, not even a streamer. Apparently they streamed it themselves in a $99 bundle that included preliminaries and other competitions.

But the answer of whether it still makes a sound is yes, because the popular media still thinks it's worth reporting on. I saw a story go by on my Facebook feed and realized that was the woman we were talking about here.
