There is that scene, and there is one involving her levitating while she is on a date.

I like slightly surreal series, seems a shame the BBC haven't said if they are picking this up as a series.

Peace.

I have always thought you could make an entire series just centering around showing pilots that never made it into their own series. I am sure there are some hidden gems as well as complete duds. If nothing else, it would be an interesting look into film/tv trivia. Young actors before they became famous and actors working with each other before more famous pairings.

The classic example for me is the Ultra pilot from 2006, which had Lena Headey (GoT's Cersei Lannister) and Peter Dinklage (GoT's Tyrion Lannister) working together. Sadly, the pilot itself was a miserable mess that completely bastardized the comic it was based off of.

There are so many “almosts” in terms of ubergirl projects on the small screen that either never got picked up or didn’t get out of development hell. You mentioned Ultra which got a pilot shot but here are others through the years (if anyone is interested):

Wonder Woman
Greatest American Hero (w/ female lead)
Wonder Girl
Jen X
Brand X
Ball & Chain (though optioned as Netflix movie now with The Rock & Emily Blunt)
Fly Girls
Super.Models
Super Duper Delilah

Super Duper Delilah sounds very interesting. I googled but can't find any info about it though.

I might have spelled it wrong.  It was a YA series about a young geeky girl with superpowers.  It was created by none other than Laura Vandervoort.  I actually reached to her and while the project stalled she still has the rights to it and said “maybe one day”. :).  There was some production art from it.  I’ll try and see if I can find it.
