I'll likely watch it but none of the female characters look appealing to me. More like plain Joe/Jane got powers.

Honestly I was expecting something better. It seems that the production main theme/purpose is ''shock value'', almost all scenes are as extreme and graphic as it could possibly be - in The Boys they were present too, but more 'paced', so to speak.
Also the plot sounds really unoriginal - a similar thing was already in The Boys (a secret mental ward for mentally problematic supers). Let's see what they set aside for the rest of the season, but I'm not holding my breath.

I thought the same about The Boys last season, TBH. It's getting to the point of "ok, we get it...it's nastier and grosser than last episode....you did it". Gen V seems to be starting out like that as well. I actually like the characters more than I thought I would, and I'll keep watching it but the "shock value" has long overextended its goal of being some kind of "inside joke" for the production crew and writers of who can top whom for each subsequent episode.

It's unfortunately all too brief, but we get a few seconds long snippet of a girl bench pressing 945 pounds. We see her doing three reps, but she's clearly in the middle of a set. I'm enjoying the series in general, but that scene lit a fire under me. I just wish there was a whole lot more where that came from!In the first episode there is young lady lifting heavy weight

Ok I'm with you with the gore being played out over, and over again. Now I have thought of the perfect solution for this..Lets take the budget of Nexflix and get the directors and writers from Strong Girl Nam-Soon. Looking at just the 1st episode is what i wished the boys and Gen V would become.

Are there any additional feats of strength in this?
As I understand it all the V subjects have some level of increased strength so given the setting it should be loaded with stuff?

However, as a fan of the original comic The Boys, I enjoyed the series a lot. It setup certain events that happen near the end of The Boys comic series. This makes me think the series itself will wrap up either in Season 5.
