I think “curvy” can be a little tricky. There is a certain degree of curviness that can work really well for me, but it’s also easy to land in the “meh” zone. In her case, I think she rocks that costume very well, and I would strongly consider buying.
I agree and that's why I thought I'd try it. It was a last minute shoot, my photographer had her booked for two days for his own sites, he gave me the option and I thought "why not?"
There seems to be a lot of stereotyping in the superheroine world (stigma?) where heroes and heroines have to fit a certain set of looks. Curves never seem sought after. It's a shame, because there's so much more to a woman than just her exterior. Same with a guy. Muscles aren't the be-all and end-all.

Also, what’s with all the teasers and no sales? I’m assuming you want to take my money at some point, yes? Hurry up and give us something more to buy! :D
I have to agree with this. Kym Graham looks an amazing super model and she must be a pretty penny on the bank sheets. Hopefully some sale orders can be pitched in.
I am hesitant as I shot a ton of shoots with just the Wonder Woman and Supergirl suits. The Supergirl vs. Wonder woman duo shoot hasn't done anywhere near as well as I hoped. I thought a girl-girl heroine shoot would have sold like hotcakes, especially how much the shoot cost me to do (just over £400).

I don't want to bore people with the same two suits. I have more suits on the way so am trying to stagger them. Three suits have got lost coming from China and the US, still trying to chase recompense for those. We've hit a snag with the hosting provider and it's put the brakes on releasing the videos. I had an issue with downloads over a certain size failing due to a PHP timeout limit, so had to reduce filesizes of photoshoots. I can't do this with 1080p and 4K video as it'll look crap. The girls look super awesome at 2160p 4K at 13MB/sec bitrate <3. Our host isn't willing to help, for the price vs. featureset of the hosting, it isn't worth the prices they want for storage upgrades, even so the PHP issue is a killer. I'm moving to a new host next month.

On the personal side I've had a lot going on. My dad's death hit me hard, I've had to support my mum and mentally ill brother. I also fell in with a narcissistic borderline personality disorder sufferer at work, she really manipulated me and screwed me up. I ended up in depression when COVID hit due to my IT business suffering. I've been seeing a therapist twice a week for the last year which has been expensive.

Things are looking up this year though. I'll kick myself up the backside harder! :)

Just a quick update. I have a shoot booked with the lovely Jenny Loveheart on the 8th of March. She's booked in to wear our new 1984 Supergirl suit (the '84 boots haven't shown up yet so the shoot will be with the Matrix ones), I've just come in from work and the new Spider Gwen suit was waiting for me, so I might get her in this as well, mask on, and off as it's removable.

What do you guys reckon? She's a strawberry blonde so would suit both looks (Not to give in to stereotypes lol)

I wanna mix things up a bit. I'm still waiting on the Powergirl suit with its boots. I was hoping it'd be here now, but, well, COVID and all.... :(

Consider it done! 1984 SuperJen Zor-El and SpiderJen (heh, rhymes with Gwen!) coming up! The shoot is on the 8th, so I'm releasing them shortly after once post production is done!

I've got new props for the Supergirl shoot too, a bendy crowbar and pipe wrench. Beats the tacky foam pipe cover we were using

I'd like to gather some info from customers/followers, to better help me with both site design, and any digital/physical merchandise.

Site Design

I've been working on the design of the site, adding photo animations ( as on Annabelle's Matrix set page, HERE ), but need to know what sort of screen resolutions my users use. I develop for a minimum of 1366x768, and at the moment my maximum is 1920x1080 as I don't have a 4K monitor yet. I'd like my maximum res to be 4K, which is 3840x2160. I know most users don't run that high, so what resolutions do you all use, on desktop/mobile/tablet?
The site scales itself to different resolutions, but I need help checking if it all looks good, and lines up, on resolutions I don't use. 1600x900, etc. Feel free to post screenshots of the link above, telling me the res its at.

More importantly, the range of web browsers. Does it look good on the one you use? There's so many derivatives of Chrome based and Firefox based, they don't all look the same, and I can't test millions of different web browsers!

Digital Merchandise

This is something I could offer. Wallpaper packs of each photoshoot, with a selection of images each at different resolutions, with SA branding on, for a small price. Even screensavers made up from videos! As with site design, I need to know the most common resolutions to target then I'm not doing sizes no-one uses. For example I don't think anyone ever uses 640x480 anymore!

I'm even thinking of doing little standalone jigsaw puzzle apps, each of a selection of images from shoots, with varying piece sizes! Fancy doing a 1,000 piece digital jigsaw of the lovely SuperCassie Zor-El? Again for a nice little fee to cover development cost.

Physical Merchandise

Mugs, coaster sets, physical jigsaws, T-Shirts, photobooks, framed pictures, the list goes on! Fancy having a blanket with Honour as Wonder Woman on? It can be done! But it all costs money to produce. This sort of thing would be good for promoting us at conventions, poaching would be models ;)

Just a thought, but what do you guys reckon? If the site becomes profitable in the near future I may consider it.

I'm proud to release the promos for Jen Loveheart's latest sets! I'm releasing them hopefully the end of the week, just gotta upload them to the server and create the set pages and store pages.

Jen Loveheart - Set 1 - Cute Spider In The House!

Have you ever seen a spider as cute as this one? We called her Jenny Gwen! Normally they're ugly, creepy, and a nightmare to keep track of! Having to keep cleaning their webs up from corners is a pain too. We even made up a poem for her:

Spider Jen, Spider Jen,
Cute lady spider in the house again!
She spins a web, any size!
Catches thieves just like flies!
Spider Jen, we put more flies on your web again!

Who needs a house alarm when you have a burglar catcher like Jen?

Whilst keeping you in line, she has a secret to show you. She's not just a mistress, but a Super one! Wearing our newly acquired 1984 style Supergirl costume complete with matching boots, this babe shows her strength as well as looks....

119 images of her as your dominative mistress, turning into your Super Mistress!

superhero-academy.co.uk/jen-jenny-lovehe...et-2-super-mistress/

The props we had for this set didn't go to plan. The crowbar was fine, it was bendy, but the pipe wrench was foam on the outside and had thick metal running through it, so was unbendable! Rubber Johnnies, what are you thinking??? If you're ever looking for props, the pipe wrench doesn't bend!

I'm proud to release our new Jen Loveheart set, "Cute Spider In The House!". This is a new costume, Gwen Stacy's spider suit with removable mask.

Check out promos, and buy her set, on this page: superhero-academy.co.uk/jen-loveheart-se...spider-in-the-house/

As a note, I'm not recieving as much feedback as I'd hoped, its mostly radio silence apart from emails from Brad. I need people to give feedback on here, and leave store reviews, to help me grow the site, and bring content. Store reviews help other customers decide whether to buy, and what people think of the models and costumes/poses/props.

Anything, even criticism. It's all taken on board, and NEVER ignored or deleted, unlike some producers.

I have a new Powergirl suit on the way to my photographer (from feedback from Brad I think Cassie may be the first to wear this!). I also have a Superman suit to do a kind of genderbent "Lois tries her boyfriend Clark's suit" kinda shoot. There was a picture of a girl in a Superman suit online once and I found her quite appealing, her womanly shape in Superman's bodysuit was quite sexy. Daubster has also done it with Cindy on ProjectSuperwoman. I'm not going to post his pics here as I don't have permission. EDIT: I found a public preview pic off the PSW site itself, so think this should be OK:

Batgirl is also another suit I'm hunting down. And Rogue. Thoughts on these are welcome.

As soon as I get our webhost issues sorted I'm starting to release videos too. 2160p 4K, 1080p, and 720p, to give people a choice for their devices!

Lack of feedback has been an issue here for a long time. IMHO it is a lot of males who are into dominant super females. More squeaking than roaring. I could be wrong.

I was about to buy Jen Loveheart - Set 2 - Super Mistress! until I saw the price in the cart. $26 USD is just a bit too steep for me at this time. It looks like a great set and I love the concept. I've purchased at least two other sets of yours.

The boots looks a little too big for her.

Sadly, feedback is ever scarcer these days here on the forums with the introduction of Discord which, I think, pulls out the "chat" aspect of the message boards.  Nevertheless I hope people know to give SOME feedback -- in any incarnation (forums post, chat, email) -- back to the creators.

That said, I have NOT ordered previously because of the steep price tag, as mentioned by Sarge.  I suspect the prices are elevated to pay for the "top tier" models on this site who look outstanding, but I fear that might some people away, in comparison to other offerings in the genre.

Just my $.02

Please provide some feedback.  Need successful artists out there creating content.

Say what you want to say.  He has the drive to create a site, spend time, spend money, and ask for feedback.  I know a lot of lurkers here.  If you don't want to post negatively send a PM to him.

Thank you.

Hi everyone. I take that on board about the prices. Given our production costs I need to try and find a balance, however I am willing to lower prices. Going off other sites I have supported, I personally feel that guys like ProjectSuperwoman are pricing themselves WAY too low. He charges $3.95 for a video that has probably cost him hundreds of dollars in production and model/cast fees and taken him MONTHS to finish. Especially how his site has improved massively, as well as his skills. He should be charging much more, even given it's a side hustle like Superhero Academy is for me. The Korean outfit Superheroine Dream charge $45 per video for base option which is much more realistic. I think they are a bigger team and have more video experience though.

We're only a glamour site and not a VFX outfit. I'm trying to carry on where Jon Xavier left off with SuperSexyHeroines/UltraSexyheroines because his promising/not delivering disappointed me massively. He had some of the cutest/sexiest/most gorgeous girls, who have mostly now all retired so I missed out. I would have loved to get the feisty goddess Sasha Cane in our Matrix suit! I don't do comics like him though, and I try not to promise anything I can't do. Like I'm open and honest in saying I'm not VFX/artist/comic material. I did do some comic style manips of ProjectSuperwoman's stuff on DeviantArt, trying to follow in Daubster's footsteps lol. Follow me here: deviantart.com/tidosho

Other sites like NextGlobalCrisis bore me. It's just the same big muscly egomaniac guys using chloroform/Kryptonite to win easily against the heroines. Yawn. I loved his Supergirls, but it's always Supergirl vs this guy in black with a Kryptonite necklace. Wrap it round her neck and the big muscly guy wins by default. Or pull out a chloroform soaked hankie. That's cheating. Meh. I got bored of paying for it just to see a girl in a suit, and end up deleting most of the set pics after buying. Most peril stuff is biased to the man, which is typical misogny.

That's why I just stick to the beauty and glamour of heroines in costume as that doesn't get old quick. I hope, anyway! Fans are hard to please. For me it's the working with the gorgeous girls. There's a lot of playfulness during shoots that you don't see. I love female beauty/strength, inside and out. I want to bring heroes into it for the girls too, but there's not many guys willing or available, strangely. Come on guys, come get your cape on!

Ramble over! So, to sum up what I've learned from guys here:

Set prices too high: What would your ideal price be? I'd like to find a middle ground where I'm selling enough to keep it viable.

More everyday geek/geek-ess shoots: The pro glamour stuff is expensive. One of my aims was to get everyday geeks and geekesses in for shoots, even paying them to shoot. It hasn't happened yet because I haven't been to conventions due to Covid to poach them haha.

Lack of payment options: I'm working on this, but PayPal are extortionate, and they side with scamming customers too much, especially with digital non-refundable stuff. I've had to give refunds for digital code (TV/movies) stuff before on eBay because the customer uses the code and then marks the transaction as unauthorised once they get the stuff.

I hope my ramble opens a debate!

Hi Sarge, there's a reason for this. Our girls vary in foot size, so I have to go for the largest of them all so I'm not buying multiple sets of boots. They're expensive. Our biggest is a US38 (UK 7.5). I hope this clears it up :)

I understand the expenses.  The right models, costumes, equipment, and possible site rental is not cheap.

However I can get a TKS video like the most recent smash hit (Hanging Out) for $10.99.  He published 150 still images in gorgeous HD free as teasers.  I buy almost every single video he produces within a week (usually day of).  So that is kind of a standard for me.

Your models and resolution are fantastic.  I'd pay 9 or 10 USD for a typical set that I'm interested in.

I would agree with Sarge here. I buy nearly every single video from TKS. They do quality production, good outfits, mix things up and beautiful models/actors. Occassionally they do throw in some new stuff and longer videos at a higher price and thats cool.

As for Jon X, well he made fantastic work, I would have loved to see more videos than he actually made. In the end the pics were great, and comics, but not worth the crazy waiting. I would look more to TKS for an idea. The cost of Battle for Earth is a bit pricey, for some dull work.

Hey, I have some feedback:

I think your website and content is great and it's heading in the right direction. You're bringing on more new faces, new costumes, and the photography is great. Can't fault it.

Regarding prices, producing in the UK is expensive and there is also the currency conversion. And so I guess there is the ongoing balance of going out at a reasonable price, but also acknowledging it's a premium product with a small market, and so people are willing to pay a little extra. Especially for exceptional content.

TKS is doing a great job, he's incredibly consistent in both quality and delivery, and so my hunch is that his price point is quite low (around $11), but then he sells a lot of units.

Anyhow, I think your stuff is great, keep up the good work!

J

One final thought: I'd be careful with your criticism of other producers like Next Global. He's been around a long time and he's successful because he caters to a specific sub-genre and he's incredibly good at it. It's a small community and I think everyone, both producers and consumers, want producers to keep producing amazing original content.

I agree with many of the previous comments. Great to see the content being produced and the models / costumes look fine.

For my part, an important element is the dialogue. I like a superheroine who is cocky and confident, who can tease and torment her opponents as she demonstrates her powers. I'm therefore more interested in live acton than photosets, although in the past I have purchased some of Jon's comic book styled photosets.

Hope this is helpful although maybe not the answer you were looking for.

Heya guys, just a quick catchup. Note to admins, is there a multi quote feature? I take all your feedback in, and will work on it. Once I get the site moved to a new host, I will try lowering prices for a 2 week trial, on all content, to see how it does.

Everyone keeps mentioning TKS. I'm not a VFX guy as I've said many times. TKS and others are AFAIK actual production companies with experience, bigger budgets, and fulltime studios/production teams. He has to be, to put out so much stuff so quick. I'm one man, a hobbyist, like Chris who ran Heavenly Heroines, god bless him. I hope you're having fun with heroines up in Heaven, Chris. R.I.P. I'm not great at doing comic manips either. We learn by doing, and I am getting better at stuff.

I got my inspiration for Superhero Academy from Jon X (Hey Jon, good to see you!) with the glamour side of his site. It was my favourite. I'd love to shoot some of the girls he did in modern high res, but they've all retired! Hey Jon, can I borrow your costumes? I'll look after them :)

As for Jon's point about my "criticism" of NGC, it wasn't intended as criticism, but my opinion. If people like that stuff, great. I respect that. It's just not my cup of tea, and not the sort of content I aim for.

On a happy note I have the lovely Lucy Ava joining us, she shot her 2nd set this week. I'm releasing Saffron's Wonder Woman set very soon too. Now that things are going back to normal, I'm planning on doing more amateur geek/geekess shoots with guys I poach from ComicCon events, lol. Production costs are cheaper with geeks as they do it for the love <3

I think I agree about the pricing issue. When I can get a full-length production video for $10-$15, it is strange to see a photosets for $20 or more. Steeleverse has some amazing stuff, and he's selling for about $5.

There is certainly something to be said for quality vs quantity. I'm happy to pay more if it checks off a lot of my boxes. For instance, I'm a huge stickler for the costume quality, as that's a major part of the kink for me. I want to see something that really fits the girl well and portrays the super/majestic essence of her character. When I see a glorified table napkin for a cape, boots that don't fit, or when the girl just wears regular street cloths, that's just a huge turn off for me.

I also have finicky tastes in my superwomen models. Turn-ons include long hair, athletic build, decent bust, and confidence. Little things stand out to me in a big way, like tattoos, nose rings, bad makeup, badly painted nails, hair in a weird style, etc.

Maybe I'm a little more finicky than most here, but those are my tastes, for whatever they're worth. :)

Another thing I would add is that I really like the videos of the photoshoots themselves (which you did for some of your prior shoots). Some people really want to see displays of superpowers, which I get, but I'm honestly just happy to see her posing and flirting in the costume. I love that stuff. So maybe that's a way to justify some of the costs? I'm happy to pay a little extra for that sort of thing.

To buy her set, visit the set page here: Wonderous Spicy Saffron . But first, we have a DISCOUNT CODE as a test for the next two weeks! If you add ANY product, or even several products, that we have in our inventory, go to your cart, and enter the code "supersave" (without quotes), into the "coupon code" area, it gives you 45% off the total in your basket!.No limit!

DON'T click the G-Pay button until you add this code. ENDS 30-05-2022!!

I'm taking a break for while. I'm going to be moving the site to a new host, so that I can finally start adding videos to the inventory. We have videos for every set we ever did (including lots of unreleased stuff, not just the live sets). I can't say how long that is going to be as I need to move, configure and test everything. Juggling that with life, is going to be unpredictable as there may be errors. And as always, I don't promise what I can't deliver.
